It’s so much fun to tease and poke fun at other’s expense but I couldn’t help it this time – like I can resist it at any time.

The Reverend Gordon Godfrey of Marcus Point Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, pleaded no contest to seven charges of illegal hunting in Wisconsin. He was accompanied to Wisconsin on a hunting trip with Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby and Escambia County Commissioner Mike Whitehead. These two guys have yet to appear in court on their charges.

This entire trip was all part of an ongoing investigation of an outfitter, Adam Lee Lawinger, principal owner and guide for Blue River Outfitters in Richland County, Wisconsin. He is being charged in federal court with allowing hunters to kill deer and turkeys without licenses and allowing clients to bait deer inside the chronic wasting disease control area, to shine and shoot deer at night and to kill turkeys with a .22-caliber rifle.
We reported on this story before here and here.

The pastor of one of the largest churches in Pensacola will lose his hunting license and will have to pay $1,421 in fines for violating Wisconsin hunting laws.
