Deer From Hunting Preserve Under Quarantine May Have Escaped

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
Someone cut a three-foot square hole in a fence at the Buckhorn Flats hunting preserve in Wisconsin and deer infected with Chronic Wasting Disease may have gotten out.

The preserve has been under quarantine since 2002 in an attempt to stem the spread of the disease. Officials are unsure if any of the 40 bucks got out but tracks indicate deer have come and gone.

An investigation is ongoing to determine who cut the hole and why.
