Lowering the Age of Hunting

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
Wisconsin is just one of several states with proposals to lower the minimum age of hunting. In an effort to help solidify the traditions of hunting and to help bolster the number of hunters, proponents are actively looking to lower the hunting age.

In Wisconsin, the present minimum age is 12. A new bill that has made it through the general assembly and now must make it throught the Senate and be signed by Gov. Doyle, would lower that age to 8.

Update: The Capital Times in Madison has this article that covers more details with opinions.
