South Dakota Supreme Court Upholds Road Hunting Law

In a vote of 4-1, the South Dakota Supreme Court upheld the 2003 law allowing hunters to shoot pheasants from public roads. Some private landowners sued the state over the law saying it violated their rights as property owners to be able to regulate trespassers.

Because of the law that was written and approved back in 2003, the Court felt it had no choice but to rule the law as Constitutional.
