Wisconsin Seems Wishy-Washy

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Yesterday, I brought you this story about how snowmobilers in Wisconsin don’t want hunting taking place in the northern counties for fear it will hamper their sledding opportunities.

Today, the DNR says they are looking for a compromise.

The snowmobile clubs say that if they lose time getting their trails groomed, a lot of money will be lost. So, do they think hunting won’t be affected economically either? I made my statement yesterday about telling the sledders to “put a sock in it” and let the hunters finish their season out. The hunting opportunities aren’t as long as the snowmobiling. Besides, I don’t know why both can’t co-exist.

You decide!
