Gun Rights Battle
May 19, 2006
Just this past week a conference of city mayors was held sponsored by the Brady Campaign and other anti-gun groups and led by the likes of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston’s mayor Menino. Their aim is to convince mayors across the U.S. to disarm their cities.
The NRA is attempting to counter that effort by issuing a challenge to all mayors and police chiefs to promise never to follow in the footsteps of Mayor Nagin in New Orleans and forcibly take guns away from lawful citizens simply because of a natural crisis.
You can read more about this at the Town Hall.
