West Virginia DNR to Reduce Antlerless Deer Tags

As part of an ongoing effort to control deer herd populations across the state, officials will be cutting back the number of antlerless deer permits they will issue. Most of the restrictions will apply to the mountains regions of the state where a combination of high hunter successes, poor mast crops and harsh winters, have reduced the herd enough that officials want to cut back in order to replenish the herd.

It appears that public opinion from hunters favor the move by the DNR. Read more about this here.
