Permits for elk hunting in New Mexico were selected and Governor Richardson has struck out. The Governor applied for a permit in three different regions. In the Valle Vidal, 2,121 applicants vied for 30 permits – strike one.
In the Edward Sargent area, 680 hunters battled it out for 5 permits – strike two!
And in the Colin Neblett zone, 84 applicants fought for 20 permits – STRIKE THREE! Maybe next year Mr. Governor.
