Wolves Attack And Kill Bear Dogs In Wisconsin

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

July 1, 2006 was the opening season for dog training for bear hunting in Wisconsin. It runs until August 31, 2006. One dog was killed and another injured in an attack in southwest Lincoln County. Officials have issued warnings. They can be viewed by clicking here.

The area where the dog attacks occured is evidently an area refered to as a rendezvous site. This is where wolves raise their young pups until they are old enough to move on. Wolves are very aggressive in protecting their pups.
