National Gun Rights Policy Conference to Be Held in Charlotte

The 21st annual Gun Rights Policy Conference will be held this coming Friday, Saturdaya and Sunday, Sept. 22 to 24 at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.

The conference will feature appearances by National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne La Pierre, Second Amendment Foundation President (SAF) Joe Tartaro and Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA). The event is co-sponsored by SAF and CCRKBA, with support from other organizations.

Panels will include over 40 speakers including Larry Pratt, Gun Owners of America executive director, Author John Lott, Bob Barr, former member of Congress, and Kansas State Sen. Phillip B. Journey, sponsor of the Kansas concealed carry legislation.

A wide range of topics will be covered by the panels including the castle doctrine and stand your ground laws, the international gun control movement, the status of right to carry legislation, the 2006 congressional elections, illegal immigration, crime and terrorism, and fighting city hall in the courts.
