Moose Hunt Success Rate In New Hampshire Down

A late moose hunting season – well after the rut – and terrible weather conditions, contributed to only a 67% success rate for New Hampshire’s moose hunters (last year was 78%). Even though this year an additional 150 moose permits were issued, hunters only bagged an additional 41 moose. The unofficial grand total was 449 – 281 bulls and 168 cows.
