All in a Day’s Work?
July 31, 2012
I think back in the day when these walls were built, it took a bit longer than just a day to construct. This particular wall, I believe, was built in order to create access to the underneath of a large barn that sat uphill perhaps 20 feet. Remnants of the barn foundation still exist and old photos show that barn sitting there. This was in the late 1800s and very early 1900s.

I was born and raised in western Maine, where I lived for about 47 years. Now I split my time between my camp in Maine and my home in Florida. I am co-author of the best selling book, “The Legend of Grey Ghost and Other Tales From the Maine Woods”. I am widely published in numerous online and print publications across the country.
