Matanuska Glacier, Alaska

The first photo is the head or beginning of the Matanuska Glacier. (Note – This photo was taken by placing a monocular over the camera lens.) In the background is the Chugach Mountain Range. By road you can drive approximately 18 miles from this vantage point to the end of the glacier, pictured in the second photo.










I was born and raised in western Maine, where I lived for about 47 years. Now I split my time between my camp in Maine and my home in Florida. I am co-author of the best selling book, “The Legend of Grey Ghost and Other Tales From the Maine Woods”. I am widely published in numerous online and print publications across the country.
