A guest post by Jim Beers in response to Wolves and Dogs Falling in Love:
They must have purchased these dogs in France. American dogs and certainly staid and proper English dogs would NEVER behave in such a manner!
That this is or would be taking place in Wisconsin or Idaho or elsewhere where such dogs are one of the “tools” in the “toolbox” of the “Defenders” of Wildlife and all the urban wolf aficionados (who bemoan the idea of using dogs to hunt down and control wolves as “inhumane” after decades of silence and denial as wolves KILLED thousands of pet dogs, hunting dogs, watch dogs, etc.) and their government surrogates is disconcerting to say the least.
This raises TWO QUESTIONS:
1. Are the “fruits” of such “unions”:
– A.) “Endangered” and/or “protected” WOLVES? … or
– B.) Free-roaming, dangerous, un-owned and therefore unprotected DOGS?
2. Is the person who shoots, traps or harasses such an animal while:
– in his yard,
– in his pasture,
– in his herd,
– attacking his dog or livestock,
– feeding on the animal property of an owner,
– it comes to his coyote call or is caught in a snare or trap set for a destructive canine,
– by the kid’s school bus stop,
– near a schoolyard or local park,
– hanging around the home or the mailbox,
– in his garbage late at night,
– approaching him or his family while they camp or fish or hunt,
– pooping (spreading disease) near his residence or in a campground,
– mouthing objects i.e. spreading disease) near his residence,
– acting strangely (Rabies?),
– in an area where Anthrax or Foot-and-Mouth or Brucellosis or Rabies or Mad Cow Disease or Chronic Wasting Disease or Parvo or Distemper or Encephalitis or Tapeworms or Smallpox (a current Bio-Weapon) or any of the Ten (10) diseases carried by Ticks or any of the Four (4) Diseases carried by fleas is either endemic or actively spreading or has a history of periodic outbreaks of these Canine-Borne and Canine-Spread infections and diseases:
A.) A felon to be prosecuted, fined, imprisoned, denied the right to vote, denied the right to own or possess a gun and a citizen deserving of government/animal rights organization publicity and denigration so as to destroy their lives, their livelihoods and their families?… or
B.) A public-minded citizen performing a valuable and valued public service deserving of the thanks and gratitude of his neighbors and his government both for the service and the money saved by a government, as once-envisioned by our Constitution, that would and should have otherwise spent tax dollars to perform this governmental responsibility to “insure” the “domestic Tranquility”, “general Welfare” and “the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” of the citizens and their families and their communities as written by them in the opening sentence of the Constitution that “formed” them?
These two questions lead to one more question:
What kind of governments (State bureaucracies have also been and are complicit “partners” in all this) places the citizens they ostensibly “serve” in such a position?
Answer: Tyrannical and unresponsive governments deserving only of contempt as best exemplified by the old racetrack adage, “A pox on them and the horse they rode in on!”
