My above title to this article should be as effective as the nonsense I read in a recent letter to the editor in the Kennebec Journal that came from a woman who once wanted to know why the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) killed so many crows that were destroying the eggs and small animals of endangered species.
In the most recent Letter to the Editor, this woman claims that bear cubs get caught in snares and chews its leg off to escape while the cub’s mother watches on in agony.
