Reasonable Means Giving Away

*Editor’s Note* – I have placed a teaser and a link to an article found published in the Outdoorwire discussing guns, violence, and the Second Amendment. The article as a whole is mostly a reasonable presentation of historic quotes from recognizable historical figures.

The author points out that all people are good and they all just want the violence to end. Perhaps that is sort of true but it is my contention that the majority of these people really don’t want the violence to end because they are part of the promulgation of violence in our society…but they don’t know it or are not willing to admit it. They are in love with the lifestyles they have chosen, which includes violence among other things.

The quotes given in this article are fine. Some can even be perceived as outstanding. But with all good quotes, there’s one reality that is most often overlooked. While Jefferson, Adams, Mason, and Franklin had great things to say in support of the Second Amendment or a person’s right to self-defense by owning a gun, I doubt that everyone living at that time agreed with their perspective on guns and gun ownership. As a result, from that point forward there has always been those wishing to mitigate the inalienable right into something more closely resembling a government granted privilege.

The cry goes out always for “something to be done” and/or that it only makes sense that there be placed “reasonable” restrictions on that right. The words of the Second Amendment have never been altered and in contradiction, over the years, the government has seen fit to do “what is necessary and proper” to take the inalienable right from the people. And this we have brainwashed to believe is needed in order to “do something” while placing reasonable limitations on an inalienable right which history has proven not to stop any of the intended actions of gun violence but instead has provided a landscape in which it is far easier to access “gun free zones” and kill at will.

The author of the piece linked to below does reveal that impossible-to-lose brainwashing, intimating the need for both sides to come together to find a way to end the violence. If this author and the many hundreds I have read before and will read after, actually believe the talking points used to construct their words, then why should we then seek to be “reasonable” and give away that which we KNOW will only make things worse? This makes no sense! This is insanity!

While the author makes an attempt to address the real issue of why any person is of the mindset to pick up any weapon and kill anyone, I question whether they actually believe any of what they have written.

The author writes: “We demonize the opposition with no attempt to understand each other’s perspective and motivation.  Is it any wonder we are no closer to figuring out a solution?”

The so-called demonization of the “opposition” is a programmed event. The Global Power Structure has ensured that there will always be “opposition” to every facet of our lives, regardless of our actual convictions.

The problem with attempting to “understand each other’s perspective and motivation” is twofold. First, the other’s perspective isn’t their own. It has been crammed down their throats along with a blind acceptance of it. In trying to understand where the “other side” is coming from, it is impossible because those truly in control make sure that the real issue is never addressed and the battle rages on between the false dichotomies of two parties or two political convictions – worthless existences. It’s far easier to go to war and fight for fake political reasons than to address the terrible, progressive lifestyles that have brought us to a point of killing for no reason…among other worthless values.

Second, the author brings up motivation. How are we expected to understand another’s motivation when we fail to recognize the perspective for which one has chosen to take up the battle sword and fight?

All that is ever discussed is that guns kill and one side wants to ban the guns and the other side wants to preserve the right to own a gun. With no honest discussions ever taking the stand of any real issues, then all that is left is to argue for naught.

When the author laments of not finding a solution, I cannot help but remind readers of that tried and true Hegelian Dialectic. The Hegelian Dialectic creates a crisis, embellishes that crisis and then rushes in with THEIR solution. Refusing to understand the forces at work guarantees the “solution” will always be that of the Global Power Structure.

It is a mental deficiency to believe that banning a gun will stop the killing as much as believing giving everyone a gun will. Killing is a symptom of life’s wrong track. A gun is a machine. Our world is satiated with machines and chemicals capable of mass destruction. How we choose to use those machines is nothing more than the shadow being cast from the society in which we live. That is the issue that needs addressing, not the gun.

As hard as men might try, they will never end the violence until the ship is righted and the focus of life is the Creator and not the creations.

I will leave readers, once again, with the following bit of Scripture: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.” Ephesians 6:12

The majority of people on the anti-gun side are not unreasonable.  They do not want to take our guns for fun or spite. They are good people who only want the violence to stop.  To their way of thinking, removing guns from society is the simplest way to achieve that end.  But neither the problems we face nor their solutions are simple.  Today’s public debate barely mentions the causation for a generation of mass murderers.  In addition to a mental health screening system that is clearly failing, discipline, family values, and personal responsibility are lacking in many households today.  The desensitization to human suffering and death promulgated by Hollywood and the video game industry are also issues we must address as a society in order to slow and eventually put an end to this epidemic of violence.  But that discussion is not likely to happen.  Not when liberal leaders pushing for more governmental control know it is much more effective to juxtapose dead children with an AR 15 and spent cases. <<<Read More>>>

Florida Shooting: Let’s Blame That European Socialist Wave and Compare It to The Simpsons

In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, I’m not a very big fan of the NRA. I’m not a very big fan of any of these so-called gun rights advocates because I don’t see them as such. Some choose to believe that if it hadn’t been for the NRA, there would be no more Second Amendment. I might choose to believe that if it hadn’t been for the NRA (and others) we would still have a real Second Amendment. Do you want servitude or do you want to be free from the chains of the fascists? You decide.

It was perhaps 15 years ago when I received a phone call from the NRA. This was a time in my life when I used to be a member of the NRA. During this same moment in time, I had been thinking whether or not I wanted to support the NRA any longer for various reasons – the biggest being that I was beginning to see them as slowly eroding my right to self-protection while getting rich.

Back to the phone call. The guy on the other end, probably a nobody doing his job of recruiting and retaining membership, began to beg me to send him some money and renew my membership. In exchange, the NRA would give me a prescription to their magazine, member card, a blanket with an NRA logo on it, stickers, and a “free” duffle bag, also with an NRA logo on it. I quickly did some math and realized the items I was going to receive exceeded in cost the money they would get for my membership renewal.

I brought this to the attention of the solicitor and his retort was very revealing. He told me he didn’t care about my membership dues – “The NRA had enough “big” donors that it didn’t need my dues money.” All he was interested in was my paid membership so that the NRA could add me as a number to their rolls to use for political leverage.

And thus, my friends is the backbone of the politically-based (biased) NRA.

Wayne LaPierre and Dana Loesch, both from the NRA, spoke in an unscheduled event before the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) convention in Maryland, attempting to show outrage that anyone would attack the NRA for the school shooting in Florida.

It’s so commonplace these days, groups with names like CPAC, nobody bothers to understand what the name means. But, I cannot get mired in this debate.

What wasn’t said by these two, as well as others at the convention, may be more important as what was said. LaPierre distracted everyone with his comments about how the European Socialist Movement was taking over this country. Wake up Mr. NRA. That socialistic movement has been on display in this country for a long time and guess what? You are part of it! Fascism is always the vehicle that gets you to communism/socialism. All aboard!

He blamed the Democrats for not doing something about promoting the growing destruction of the Second Amendment. Did you catch that written this way? He was quoted as saying, “…to work to reduce gun violence” and “…not working with conservatives and activists enough to address mental health as a concern and to put such checks into the database system to prevent dangerous people from getting access to guns.”

I wonder if there exist any who understand this pushing by the NRA is nothing more than another way to strip us of our rights. Nothing the NRA, Trump, or any of the other fascists are proposing will do anything to change what took place or from happening again. If they believed as they say, why are they part of the problem and not the solution?

Dana Loesch blamed the “legacy media” because the “legacy media” blames the NRA. Open my eyes that I might see, glimpses of Truth…….

And, of course, both sides (?) blamed the failure of law enforcement. Really?

Showing the world that he is a part of the Global Power Structure, LaPierre reminded everyone at CPAC to: “…be anxious, and you should be frightened,” saying that if they (the European Socialists) take power our freedoms will be lost and America will be changed forever. WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE! DAMNED THAT LEGACY MEDIA!!!

Be Vewy, Vewy Scared!

Damn the “European Socialists!” What about our own government, our own law enforcement, our own school departments, out churches, our own decadent, immoral society? Nobody dares utter a word about the real failures of this nation. Instead, they, including the NRA, will throw up distractions so we don’t have to address the issue.

Also speaking at this convention, was Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a self-proclaimed “man of God.” Blinded by his own misled lifestyle, one that has caused the destruction of a decent and moral society, attempted to make a correlation between The Simpsons, a cartoon television show, and the Republicans and Democrats as they pertain to gun control.

His, and the rest of American society’s failure to see the filthy, immoral content of such a television show (and it’s his favorite you know), is just but one symptom of a larger failure of society to maintain any kind of moral compass. Because of this, children are mass murdering children in our schools.

Fearful to address the truth, drives us to distractions, blaming everything under the sun except ourselves and our own failures. We live in a gutless world with no longer a conscience, say nothing of Yahweh’s Spirit of Truth within us. We are all insane and our own insanity is driving us to become as…In the Days of Noah.

I’m tired of repeating this, but I am compelled.

Trump Said He Would Never Let the NRA Down

But did he ever tell the American people he would never let them down concerning their right to keep and bear arms?

It appears that some gun groups are not so eager to cede “reasonable” rights restrictions to the Leftists. Guns America seems to be stating, at least one writer, that, “I’m feeling a bit let down this week.” They are feeling a bit let down this week because Trump, who will do whatever the NRA tells him to (I wonder who tells the NRA what to do? Or is it the other way around?) is determined to ban “bump stocks,” increase the background check system with a special focus on mental illness (Fix NICS Act), and he supports fascist Feinstein’s proposal to prohibit anyone under the age of 21 from buying a “long gun.” (But I thought it was the hand guns that had the mind to kill people?).

Trump is proving to be no different than any other lying politician. He is also beginning to show his true colors for the anti-gun person that he has always been. He is doing what all the other liars in Washington said shouldn’t be done and that’s “knee-jerk” emotional reaction to a tragic event.

If Donald Trump and his cronies at the NRA actually believed what they said about guns and how “guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” they would be addressing the real problems that drive this insane, out-of-control, immoral society riddled with anger, hatred, and violence as is on display everywhere in America. But they are not.

Nothing that Trump, or the idiots in his anti-Second Amendment corner, are proposing will prevent another school shooting. They know that but whether you want to believe it or not, they are telling all of us they don’t care and they don’t believe all the rhetoric they deliver for the purposes of garnering votes and stealing support money from the masses. Can’t any of you see that the United States Government is the perpetrators here?

And through all of this, Trump, like a good little fascist criminal, will push more extensive background checks that will include better efforts to keep guns out of the hands of the “mentally ill.” But we are too stupid and have had our ability to think and reason bred out of us to ask why we would trust a proven criminal government entity to decide who is “mentally ill” (dangerous – wink-wink) and then have their guns taken away from them? The damned Government is more insane than the rest of us and yet we “trust” that they are going to do the right thing and make sure “mentally ill” people don’t have a gun?

Just like all other “reasonable” restrictions (those the NRA heavily promotes with your kind donations) on a person’s right to self-protection, none of this will do one damned thing to prevent another school shooting or a shooting of any kind.

Is there anything that can be done or said to convince people of their blind ignorance in this matter?

NOPE!

The Left’s Hatred and Ignorance

It should be obvious, but is not, that the Left hates everything that somebody tells them to hate.

As in the case of the staged Parkland, Florida school shooting, instead of addressing the immoral, decadent, sadistic, nasty, hate-filled, rotten, perverse, lifestyles they so much are in love with, the Left chooses to attack a person’s right, their choice, in how they can defend themselves. It appears with each passing fake attack and with each passing programmed response by the Left (did you catch the “programmed?”) more and more people will need more than ever before the right to keep and bear arms if they so choose.

Their hatred is obvious! Perhaps not so obvious, at least to them anyway, is their ignorance of what they do. This ignorance is not just found in the case of hating on guns and anyone who has or supports owning a gun. The Left and Right (I see and hear it every day) demand that “something is done about that.”

One recent example might be that NFL football players chose to kneel during the playing of the national anthem. Whether you agreed or not shouldn’t matter when it comes to protecting a right. One can argue if the NFL, the teams, or the Players Union had any authority over the players to prohibit such action. Regardless, everywhere I went all I heard was that those caught kneeling should be thrown out of the NFL…or something worse.

I asked one man if that really is what he wanted and in his anger, he answered, “YES!” I attempted to explain that sometimes protecting a right places us in uncomfortable situations and that demanding a person’s right be taken away from them because they did something wrong, will, eventually come back and bite you on the rear end – that is when you discover one day your right to voice or demonstrate your disapproval or approval of something that holds meaning to you is gone. Think before you react, is now void of the American society of brainwashed automatons.

One of the reasons I believe the events at Parkland, Florida were staged is because of how the fallout from the event has taken place so well scripted. It reminds me terribly of the Trayvon Martin sham.

Almost from the first fake news report, demands, real or planned, began calling for an outlawing of any lawmaker or wannabe lawmaker’s right to accept legal money from the NRA. Yes, the anger and hatred is there, all wrapped up in a nice little package as has been planned out, but do any of these people understand what they are asking? I don’t think so!

It is unconstitutional, or at least there are court cases that ruled that it was illegal to punish one group of people more harshly than another. If that holds no meaning to the criers of idiocy, consider the long-term effects of getting such a law passed.

Don’t get me wrong. I think ALL money that flows through political channels should be stopped…completely. As the saying goes, “Power corrupts; Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.” Money equals power and history has proven that when there is money involved there is corruption.

In one’s anger and hatred, especially in this case where it is not guns that are the culprit but the perverted and insane people of this nation and world that have caused people to resolve issues by killing people and sometimes killing masses of people, their programmed response has been to attack guns and all establishments that present themselves as being pro-gun. In this case, we are talking about the NRA.

These insane, emotional zombie-bots, actually are running around telling anyone they see that the NRA is responsible for the deaths of people in Parkland, Florida or anywhere that guns have been used to kill people. They don’t do this for any other kind of action that results in death. Why just guns?

In the Left’s attack on the NRA, they are demanding that nobody is allowed to accept money from the NRA. As I pointed out, so far, this will not stand up in the Courts. But consider for a moment the insanity of the demand. You can’t tell me that most everyone doesn’t have a pet project that they want to be supported with money. What are these same people going to do with there is no funding available for things like fighting cancer, introducing wolves, support of women’s rights, support of equal rights, etc. etc.?

These non-thinking clowns can’t see that their demand opens the door for all entities, whether the NRA or the CBD, WWP, HSUS, PETA, for them to lose any and all support for political purposes.

Such emotions as anger and hate prevent people from thinking rationally. When you combine that with the propagandizing that has gone on for so long now, mixed in with some George Soros money to perpetuate the anger and hatred, and not only will we continue to see the hatred and ignorance on display, it will only get worse.

It’s all quite sad.

And I must finish by adding…

DON’T GO LOOK!

Trump’s “True” Colors Shining Through

There are lyrics to a song that begin this way: “I see your true colors shining through…” True Colors can be good or bad. It appears that we are now beginning to see the “true” colors of Donald Trump and many other “FAKE” Second Amendment supporters according to their anti Second Amendment actions following the staged school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Back in June of 2015, I posted on this website, and took an immense amount of grief from idiotic, blinded, and as a result, fake Second Amendment clowns, that Donald Trump supported a ban on “assault weapons” and that he supported longer waiting periods in which to purchase a gun. Of course, his political game, like a chameleon, changed its colors to become anything necessary to get elected. This is nothing new by politicians because every last one of them is a filthy, rotten, corrupt son-of-a-bitch.

In that posting, I provided a quote by Trump: “I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.”

From my perspective, the insanity that has followed the Parkland, Florida shooting is not about how to make the world we live in safer. It’s about mindlessly duped millions of people doing the bidding for corrupt bastards bent on complete control over everything we do. The brainwashing that has gone on for many years now has rendered a mass of automatonic sheep eager to cut their own throats because they no longer have the ability to think cognitively. It’s the epitome of cognitive dissonance, and what makes this brand of cognitive dissonance so effective for the Global Power Structure that promotes it, is that while they stick bamboo shoots under their fingernails and stand in white-hot coals of fire, they are thoughtless and unaware of what they do, feeling no pain.

But why the guns? Is there any other item that exists in our world that excites such idiotic, emotional behavior that doesn’t involve animals? I don’t think so.

What boils my blood is to watch these people act and react. Essentially, I have stopped watching, reading, and listening to mainstream media. Most of us know it is horseshit but due to our ongoing mind control, we simply continue watching it anyway. It’s some kind of perverse addiction. I stopped because I finally realized how angry it makes me – not the content of lies being heaped upon the masses (mostly because I recognize the lies while most don’t) but because people believe it and react accordingly. That is all part of the plan.

This morning I sat down on the living room sofa and turned on the local news. I actually wanted to catch a weather report because it has been so warm here. Because it is a Florida television station, it was a vibrant display of panic, emotionalism, idiocy, blather, poppycock, and everything that turns your stomach causing uncontrolled wretching. I could, but I couldn’t, believe what I was hearing about a school shooting, guns and the need to do something. As one member of the zombies stated, “We have to do SOMETHING!”

It angers me that people actually believe that banning a special kind of gun, any gun or all guns will stop violence and crime. What an incredible job the propagandists have done! This failure to launch brains is not relegated only to the mentally deranged “Left.” It is shared by most all, but due to the “Right’s” higher ground attitude, and a false belief and understanding that “reasonable” restrictions on a person’s God-given right to choose how best to protect themselves from not only some programmed, deranged, subhuman, troglodyte shooting up a school full of children but just as much from the damned evil bastards operating out of Washington, D.C., that we see a continued “reasonable” assassination of my God-given right to decide for myself how I will protect myself, my property and my family.

But, why the guns? Banning guns won’t stop violent crime from occurring. We have made strict laws to ban illicit drugs and the sale of them. It has done nothing to stop the use of people-killing drugs. The Federal Government declared a “war on drugs.” Has that stopped the use of drugs and the tens of thousands of useless deaths directly and indirectly related to drugs? No! We have made laws that a person can’t use a vehicle to murder people, run them over in a crowd. Has any of that stopped the action? No! We have made it a crime to drive drunk and declare it vehicular manslaughter when a drunk causes another’s death. Has that stopped drunk driving? But, somehow the servitude is trained to believe guns are different in basic human psychology.

I could go on and on but for those beyond hope, nothing I say will get them to understand the ignorance and their lack of thinking. They have been programmed to be this way. We must attack the guns. We must always attack the guns. Sense and sensibility be damned!!! Attack the guns and thusly my right to choose.

Brainwashed, sheep cannot and will not see how political this all is for a purpose far bigger than protecting children in a gun free zone. They won’t address the real problem because it points a finger directly at themselves.

The cries go out to “ban assault weapons” and yet if you ask them what an assault weapon is none could tell you. Why? Because even the lawmakers don’t know. It was designed that way. To some, an “assault weapon” could be a wet noodle. To others, it’s an intercontinental ballistic missile loaded with a nuclear warhead. Not defining what an assault weapon is, provides leeway for criminals in Washington to do as they please, when they please, and how they please. It is how our laws are deliberately written. It’s part of the rigged system.

Here’s an example of such. President Trump is someone most Trump supporters believe is a staunch advocate for the Second Amendment. I have written recently and showed examples of how so-called gun rights advocates think that because Donald Trump is president, gun sales have dropped and people think the threat to disarmament no longer exists.

Trump is not a good advocate of the Second Amendment. The NRA is not a good advocate of the Second Amendment. Most outdoor sportsmen are not good advocates for the Second Amendment.

Are we to believe that Trump so much cares that innocent people are getting shot by deranged people his answer is to send out a “memorandum” and instructs his Attorney General to seek a ban on “assault-type weapons” and a clearer definition of “machinegun?”

But, I thought Trump, the NRA, all the other fake Second Amendment groups, along with sportsmen, substantiate their belief in the right to keep and bear arms by telling the world it’s not the guns that are killing people. If they believe that why do they persist in giving that right of choice away? Why then don’t the go after the real problem? I know why, but do you?

Proverbs 29:18 reads: “Where there is no vision, the people decay…” (some use the word perish instead of decay). I think one can expound on that just a bit without changing the meaning and clarify that if there is the wrong vision, the people will perish too.

Some choose to believe this is the greatest country on earth. Perhaps, but one has to wonder if that belief wouldn’t be dashed a bit if the many masses actually knew the truth of things.

There have been ample opportunities for the right leader to step forward and lead while providing the people the right vision. I understand that because he is nothing more than a puppet, a president cannot lead in the right way and live. The problem, as we have seen in Parkland, Florida isn’t because somebody has failed to define what a machine gun is. It’s because the vision for this country is wrong. Trump has had a chance. Obama had his chances. Bush many times could have worked to right the vision. It goes on and on.

Changing the Second Amendment, limiting my right to choose, any of man’s laws will not change anything. The vision must include addressing the problems of an immoral society, driven by lust, greed, hatred, anger, fear, etc. Our leaders exemplify the wrong vision. The people want so badly to follow, they will do exactly that. The leaders have the wrong vision and it matters not because the people will always follow.

Trump has an opportunity to use his position to begin to address the real problem. But he won’t. He can’t. Instead, with the help of mindless automatons, he will work with those who will diminish my legal rights to self-defense and their work will make the world a more dangerous place to live. Anyone who speaks only of addressing guns and not our decayed society is part of the problem.

People like Trump and those that make the laws that keep us in our places, get to have all the protection their filthy money can buy. And you cannot see how wrong all of this is.

I’m sorry!

Gun Violence: Talking About the Truth Behind It

In reading through several news articles following the Parkland, Florida shooting, I found the below examination among those that seem more interested in addressing the real issue of why people are turning to the murder and destruction of people.

“Cross guns off the list of things that changed in thirty years. In 1985, semi-automatic rifles existed, and a semi-automatic rifle was used in Florida. Guns didn’t suddenly decide to visit mayhem on schools. Guns can’t decide.

We can also cross the Second Amendment off the list. It existed for over 200 years before this wickedness unfolded. Nothing changed in the Constitution.

That leaves us with some uncomfortable possibilities remaining. What has changed from thirty years ago when kids could take firearms into school responsibly and today might involve some difficult truths.”<<<Read More>>>

It is certain that other than some technological developments in the manufacture of guns, little has changed. Never in the history of the world has a gun involuntarily gotten up and killed somebody.

However, I’m not so sure one can carte blanche say that the Second Amendment has not changed. I’m not so sure either that one can, and pass a straight-face test, say that what changes have taken place concerning Second Amendment issues have not, to some degree, directly or indirectly had an effect on people dying from gun violence.

The Second Amendment states that the right of the people to keep and bears arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED and yet that is exactly what has happened. As a result, a person’s “right” to self-defense has been limited. One cannot help but ask how many people died because their right to be able to protect themselves AT ALL TIME, has been denied them due to changes in the how the Second Amendment is interpreted.

This should not, however, detract from the truth that much of the reason that murder, violence, sexual abuse, rape, child molestation, drug use, immorality, etc. etc. is all due to a spiraling downward moralistic society.

Let’s talk about that for a change instead of a person’s right to keep and bear arms.

Mental Health and “Gun Violence”

From Gary Marbut, president of the Montana Shooting Sports Association:

Dear MSSA Friends,
All the talking heads are frothing over the Florida school shooting.  All this rabid attention only inspires copycat acts.
Of course school shootings and mass murder are terrible.  But, let’s ask some intelligent questions about what’s going on.
Many talking heads bring up various suggestions about mental health, from more taxpayer funding, to wider screening, to better record keeping and sharing, to using mental health evaluations to strip people of their civil rights.  So, what’s the deal with mental health and “gun violence”?  (I put “gun violence” in quotes because the issue is really about violence against people, by any method.  One of the largest mass murders in US history was done in a New York City nightclub with a quart of gasoline.)
Well, I have explored the intersection of mental health and gun violence.  I have written about that intersection and posted that Online.  Please review my analysis at:
There are important points in this analysis you need to be able to express to friends, elected officials, and in letters to the editor.
Why do most of these incidents happen in schools?  Well, duhhh!  “Gun free zones.”  I put that in quotes because these places are NEVER gun free.  They are only gun free for the law abiding victims.  But “gun free zones” are low-hanging fruit full of ripe, defenseless victims for a madman planning yet another copycat killing spree.
To cure this societal defect, MSSA proposed the Montana School Safety Act in the last session of the Montana Legislature, House Bill 385.  HB 385 would have allowed trained and qualified school employees to be armed at work, to protect themselves and our precious children and grandchildren.  See the bill copy at:
HB 385 didn’t pass.  Opponents said it’s just too dangerous to have guns in schools.  Leave defense of our children to the professionals, they said.  Oh, but keep the fire extinguishers in the buildings, they said, because the staff of a school with a beginning fire can’t wait for professional firefighters.  Yeah, right.
How bad can it get?  How many children could a madman shoot in the target-rich environment of a school?  Well, I tested that.  Read about and see videos of my test at:
It could be very bad – much worse than the recent shooting in Florida.
So, what’s the solution?  It certainly won’t prevent drunk driving to take cars away from sober people.  And, it won’t inhibit madmen to make it more difficult for law abiding people to purchase or own firearms.  That’s obvious.
One solution is to get rid of gun free zones – all of them.  They’re dangerous places and magnets for violent madmen.  When one of these incidents happens, what’s the first thing people on scene do?  They call for police.  Why call police?  It’s not because of the nifty clothes police wear, and not because of the fancy cars they drive, but because police have guns they can use to shoot the perpetrator.  The victims are calling for guns.  Why shouldn’t the intended victims have guns so they can shoot the perpetrator themselves rather than wait fatal minutes for police to arrive?
It seems that this problem of mass murder needs to be examined through the lens of sociology, rather than of law or psychology.  More gun control laws have not worked anywhere.  Calls for more or better mental health are likely to only obscure important aspects of the problem, and postpone workable solutions.
Enough rant.
Best wishes,

Give Up Second Amendment in Exchange for an “Upgrade” of the First?

You can’t make this stuff up.

I was sent a link to an article at Powerline, where the author made a valiant attempt to inject some semblance of rational discourse into a topic that never experiences anything close to rationality – school shootings.

To prove this point, simply read the comments that follow the article. I’d like to take a moment and address one of them. A commenter writes: “I suggest a trade-off: Conservatives support the deletion of the 2nd amendment in return for an upgraded 1st amendment which restores prayer and Bible reading in the public schools, and makes the graphic depiction of murder on TV, film, the Internet and video games illegal.”

I immediately wondered what world this person must live in. I know where I live and it’s seldom in and of this world but I think my reasoning skills are a tad bit better. Let me explain, even though our existence has driven us to a point where an explanation is actually needed.

This person suggests that “conservatives” support the deletion of the Second Amendment as part of a trade-off. I’m wondering why liberals, who have and will continue to enjoy their Second Amendment right aren’t included in this obvious ignorant attack? I guess I just didn’t know only “conservatives” support the Second Amendment.

Try, if possible, to understand the trade-off. Before I comment further, I hope that it is obvious that this person fails miserably in understanding the First and Second Amendments or even holding any discernment as to the difference between a God-given right, a Government-given privilege, and the freedom to make choices according to your morals and/or ideology.

The commenter suggests an “upgrade” to the First Amendment in exchange for a repeal of the Second Amendment. It is unbelievable, to the unlearned I suppose, that a person views a reduction in their rights as an upgrade. Once upon a time a right, in the context of the Bill of Rights, was constructed with the idea that a person was free to exercise that right while at the same time not infringing on the choices of others in exercising any right or choosing not to. The comment above surely delineates a lost understanding of something so basic.

For those in need, here is the First Amendment as it is written: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The “upgrade” is said to include: “…restores prayer and Bible reading in the public schools, and makes the graphic depiction of murder on TV, film, the Internet and video games illegal.”

For clarification, we the people and We The People, have butchered the First Amendment but not nearly to the extent of the Second. However, people mostly have the right to pray or read the Bible any place and at any time they so CHOOSE. I have yet to find written in the Bible where Yahweh says that prayer must be done openly in a public arena, in a formal and structurally organized way and included in the curriculum of public schools. In other words, because Government dictates that praying and Bible reading are not part of the public school curriculum, any student, for the most part, and while not disturbing others in their quest for an education, can pray or read their Bible if they so CHOOSE. I’ve never understood those that think they are denied their “right” to their established “religion” because prayer and Bible reading are not “REQUIRED.”

As much as what movies, music, video games, Internet, and all is a reflection of the decadent and immoral American society as a whole, last time I checked, a parent has a right to control what their children are allowed to see and listen to. Parents fail miserably in this but is that a good enough reason to pretend that making this crap illegal, in other words destroying another right of a person to CHOOSE, the right answer? Is that why the person called this an “upgrade.” Up is down, down is up…etc.

Supposedly, once we become “of age” we can CHOOSE to see and hear what we wish. As the Scriptures say: Bring up a child in the way in which he/she should go and he/she shall never depart from it. As much as some would desire, it is still quite difficult to control what a person thinks…short of lobotimization.

I would suppose that in this person’s mind, their “upgrade” was some kind of carrot at the end of a stick. It doesn’t work that way. Rights are about CHOICE not about being forced to have to abide by someone’s ideology, including governments’.

The Second Amendment doesn’t force people to pick up a gun and use it. The Second Amendment is about giving any lawful citizen of this country the option to do that if they CHOOSE. If I believe that Government is a serious threat to my existence, as well as my freedom to make choices, anyone mandating to me that the only gun I can own is a single shot .22 caliber rifle, isn’t allowing me full exercise of my right to self defense and/or the threat of tyranny.

What another commenter said was that there would be no First Amendment if the Second Amendment (or the principle on which it was founded) did not exist.

What man-governments have done to the Second Amendment, masked behind comments like, “reasonable controls,” is to continue to limit and restrict the choices of people in how they can defend themselves. Gun Free Zones outlaw freedom of choice. People who get shot and killed in a Gun Free Zone are the responsibility of every government and individual who demands and has been successful in taking away my freedom to choose how and where I can defend myself. Someday, you will have to answer for your totalitarian behavior, but for now, you will have to live with the reality of what you have done. There is blood on your hands.

Sleep well tonight, my pretty!

New California Law Imposes Court Process for Confiscating Guns

Whereas most states are content to wait until a prohibited person is caught with a firearm, California’s approach is much more proactive. The California Department of Justice cross-references known firearm owners with individuals who have been convicted of felonies, deemed mentally unstable, or given domestic violence restraining orders.

All such individuals are placed on the APPS list.  That allows a special gun confiscation unit to visit those people and ensure that they relinquish their firearms.

“When the information is inaccurate, you potentially put people at risk because you have the attorney general’s office sending armed SWAT teams to people’s homes to confiscate firearms,”<<<Read More>>>
