Sneaky Snakes

I took my wife to the nearby nature preserve. We were walking around the boardwalk, around the small pond, and it was her eyes that spotted these two snakes bathing in the sunlight….wink! wink! They didn’t seem too bothered by us, but the camera I happened to have with me wasn’t doing a very good job of getting the right focus or light saturation. If you enlarge the photo too big, it gets a bit blurry. Sorry!

TSA Moose

Wondering if this bull moose, seen on the side of the road near the Anchorage, Alaska airport, will get through airport security.

And When the Skies Cleared…..

It rained starting late yesterday afternoon and through most of the night. Around 10 am it began to clear, so I headed to the nature preserve adjacent to where I live. As the sun got brighter and clouds moved away, the wildlife began to reveal itself. Below are three quick shots of wildlife I took with my little PHD camera: A slightly blurry male cardinal, an ibis (there were two) and a gator I’d estimate at about 6 or 7 feet in length. We made an agreement. I’ll not bother you and you’ll not bother me.

Click on the photos for enlarged viewing.
