As anyone with a brain would have suspected, polar bears are not being endangered by melting ice. George Bush proved his idiocy and Al Gore’s love affair with money polar bears proved perverse. It now appears the population of polar bears has risen to somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 (if that is a true number) and, wouldn’t you know it, according to the same Neanderthals who want us all to die, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE because ice caps continue to melt at a greater rate than ever (meaning they need more of our tax dollars) and polar bears are dying like crazy…or something…or anything. Two Ways to Get Scientific Consensus
According to climate alarmists, their so-called science of global warming is “settled,” meaning they perceive any discussion or questioning of their conclusions as worthless due to an overwhelming consensus on “We’re All Gonna Die!”
Reading John Hinderaker’s post about “Science, Consensus and Polar Bears,” he tells of some of the writings of Dr. Mitchell Taylor – “Dr. Mitch Taylor was a member of the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group (PBSG) as a polar bear scientist representing Canada for 28 years (1981-2008) but in 2009 he was booted out by chairman Andrew Derocher for his skeptical views on human-caused global warming. The group then changed their rules on membership to justify their actions.”
Taylor writes: “There are two ways to get a scientific consensus. One is to present the data and the analysis in a manner that is so persuasive that everyone is convinced. The other way is to exclude or marginalize anyone who does not agree. This occurs so commonly now that it has become an accepted practice. The practice of science has become secondary to governments, NGOs, journals, and scientists who feel that the ends justify the means.”
“The other way” is permanently etched into the fabric of American Society in everything we do, not just with polar bear science or Climate Change.
Yesterday I spoke of two writers both referring to America’s “Cultural Crisis” and both pointed out the cultural divide that exists – one calling it tribalism. In this context, as with reaching a “consensus” on Climate Change, never can evidence be presented that “is so persuasive that everyone gets it.” It is no longer considered. You are a traitor to your “tribe” if you consider other facts or theories. The design is to be loyal to your people, your caste, an avid member of your safe environment and echo-chamber that repeats only what you want to hear.
Claiming the consensus on things such as politics, religion, news stories, or Climate Change is the chickens way out, to put it nicely. In reality, it more accurately resembles the brat child who sticks his fingers in his ears so he can’t hear while making loud and senseless noises to overpower the parent trying to talk with him.
And, as you may guess, the science is settled on the consensus of settled science. There is no more discussion.
PERVERSION: “We stood there crying” As The Polar Bear Died
*Editor’s Note* – So deceived! There is little hope for anyone so mentally disturbed and for those who think that if there is any such thing as global warming it is caused because I fart and drive my car. To stand, as a grown adult and cry because a bear was dying is beyond perversion. To immediately blame a bear’s death on man-caused (other than government) climate change is just plain blinded ignorance.
And yet, this deception is now running so deeply into a perverted society that when the co-founder of an environMENTAList group, one of those crying, admitted they knew the bear didn’t die from global warming, it doesn’t stop the freaks from demanding man must be killed in order to save the planet.
“In August, this bear would have been only recently off the sea ice: since most bears are at their fattest at this time of year, something unusual had to have affected his ability to hunt or feed on the kills he made when other bears around him did not starve and die,” Zoologist Susan Crockford wrote on her blog.
“It could have been something as simple as being out-competed for food in the spring by older animals,” Crockford wrote. “But if sea ice loss due to man-made global warming had been the culprit, this bear would not have been the only one starving: the landscape would have been littered with carcasses.”<<<Read More>>>

Russians Can’t Collect Weather Data Because Global Warming Bears Ain’t Scared
Or something. To further my afternoon of sharing the insanity of the world, from the fact that idiots are “protecting” a species that doesn’t need protecting, much because George W. Bush is a moron puppet, to scientists unable to protect themselves, to believing the problem with bears is the result of some unproven, lied about climate phenomenon called Climate Change. The level of insanity is growing at rates of speed to fast to control. And by god did you know that because insanity is growing so fast, it’s generating heat and increasing the amount of carbon dioxide….OH GEEZUS! WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE! The trees will save me. I’ll call on the trees.
And if the story isn’t entertaining enough (sorry, if you think the news article is truth there’s no hope for you) and the madness of the world’s leaders and scientists aren’t enough, make sure you pour a cup of coffee, or some other chemical compound that changes the composition of what’s left of your brain, and read the comments to the article.
“The phenomenon may have intensified, though, due to climate change.
Melting sea ice and shifting patterns in the populations of the polar bears’ marine prey stoke the desperation of bears, which are being forced to travel farther for food.”<<<Read More>>>

Polar Bears Love Global Warming
The scientists found that contrary to claims made by Gore in his 2006 film, polar bears have adapted to past warm periods. This is in line with Cronin’s work which has found that polar bears have been a genetically-distinct species long enough to have survived past periods where the Arctic had little to no ice.
The new study not only finds polar bears survived ice-free periods in the Arctic, but there’s no evidence of any other marine species going extinct over the last 1.5 million years. That even goes for walruses, which have made news lately for massive beachings in the Arctic some say are being driven by global warming.

Should You Fear the Pizzly Bear?
*Editor’s Note* – Everyone should consider reading this and then giving it some thought. As Dr. Valerius Geist worded it, in reference to this article: “Excellent article ! It takes something like this to shake us out of our
stupor. In North America the big and the little wolf are melting into one, and it’s only a matter of time before it will happen in the west. Be glad that you knew coyotes and wolves! Your great-grand children will not. The best thing that happened in the 20th century to wolves were 60,000 trappers in Canada and Alaska, encouraged by bounties, killing every wolf they could get by fair means or by foul. It kept wolves and coyotes pure, it contained hydatid disease, it kept wolves out of agricultural and where predator control officers were waiting for them anyway, and it relegated wolf attacks on humans to a myth – by their absence.
The worst enemy of woodland caribou, so argues Tom Bergerud, are environmentalists. Ditto for wolves?
“The animal comes from an area above the Great Lakes, where wolves and coyotes live — and sometimes breed — together. At one end of this canid continuum, there are wolves with coyote genes in their makeup; at the other, there are coyotes with wolf genes. Another source of genetic ingredients comes from farther north, where the gray wolf, a migrant species originally from Eurasia, resides. “We call it canis soup,” says Bradley White, a scientist at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, referring to the wolf-coyote hybrid population.”<<<Read More>>>
GASP! Fake Polar Bear Scientists Provide Fake Polar Bear Science for Fake ESA Listing
“As with the hockey stick graph and many other elements of the concocted story, honest scientists working in the finest tradition of skeptical scientific inquiry, started to unravel fuzzy numbers and lies. One such hero is polar bear scientist Dr. Susan Crockford, who publishes the website Polar Bear Science. In it she documents how a scientist responsible for an alarmist lowball estimate of polar bear population is backing away from numbers that she has been questioning:”<<<Read More>>>
Jim Beers: Polar Bear Mythology Redux
*Editor’s Note* Over the years, and in particular 2008, I covered extensively polar bears and the dog and pony show that then President George W. “I love to Spend Money” Bush entertained us with in declaring the polar bear a “threatened” species under the Endangered Species Act. This was a fine example of how ignorance, corruption, special interest, greed and money have hijacked and destroyed legislation intended to protect actual endangered species and not increase bank accounts.
Polar bears may have never been threatened but today that doesn’t stop the opportunity to exploit a species for more sinister goals.
Below is an article written by Jim Beers in reference to an article published in the Wall Street Journal about polar bears; one that asks the question, “Are Polar Bears Really Disappearing?” As you will read, Beers points out that for the last several decades the population of polar bears globally has actually remained unchanged, with what one could argue as normal fluctuations that occur due to local circumstances. There is one other issue in the Wall Street Journal article that I wanted to mention that I think is of utmost importance for readers to understand.
One night as Churchill’s “bear season” was gearing up, I sat down with Kevin Burke, a man who has lived with polar bears all his life, as both a Churchill native and a ranger in the deep bush country. He has also spent countless hours assisting the Ph.D.’s who study bears and predict their imminent demise. “I’m just starting to resent being told that I’m not seeing what I know abso-flipping-lutely damn well that I’m seeing with my own eyes,” he said (using considerably more colorful language). With polar bears, it’s not always black and white.
This is one of the problems that exist today. So-called scientists with an agenda – perhaps fueled and funded by special interest, seeking outcome based ‘science’, disregarding and even demonizing boots on the ground reality.
Here is Mr. Beers article.
While interesting and worth the read, Zac Unger’s article to plug his book on polar bears has one very shaky foundation. His statement, “Almost everybody agrees there are between 20.000 and 25,000 polar bears alive today. That number is a whole lot bigger than it was 40 years ago.” Not so.
In 1972 when there was legislation (Marine Mammal Protection Act) being composed in Congress, I shared an office on K Street in Washington with the newly appointed Marine Mammal Coordinator of the US Fish & Wildlife Service. As environmental claims flew about these bears and manatees and seals, et al, I asked about polar bear numbers that were claimed to be around 5,000 worldwide. He laughed and said although counts were poor, “there are probably about 20,000 worldwide”. Passage of the MMPA in that year stopped polar bear hunts while assuring hunters and Alaska and other nations that wanted to continue hunting as revenue generators and bear management programs that, “when ‘Optimum Sustainable Populations’ were established, hunting would be re-allowed.” OSP was never established and hunting never permitted.
In 2008, the Bush Administration declared polar bears “Threatened” under the Endangered Species Act to throw a biscuit to environmental claimants that “global warming was melting (all?) the sea ice and dooming polar bears.” Like federal claims about wolves, polar bear “facts” are mainly environmental mythology, hidden agendas and government growth propaganda disguised as Armageddon and good intentions.
