Come Now! Progressivism Caused by Republican Somnolence?

*Editor’s Note* – Below is a link to Victor David Hanson’s piece on the “Progressive Race to the Bottom.” What he writes is, for the most part, quite accurate but lacking in real, in-depth read searching as most members of the Media seem instructed to do. What I am not sure of is whether Hanson actually believes all that he writes.

He correctly blames the rapid transformation of a society into a progressive frenzy that seems out of this world to any true conservative, on a “somnolent” Republican Party. However, Hanson, after showing readers point blank truth that there is no such thing as a Democrat and Republican Party, tries to show hope for the future that the Republican Party will wake up. Wake up from what? Does nobody anymore see the historic Tom Foolery of the make believe two-party system? It’s right in front of our eyes and yet it can’t be seen?

When the Republicans are in control of the White House and Congress, it’s all talk and no action. This cannot be seen in the reality it is because brainwashed, well-trained automatons keep their short attention spans focused on News, Facebook, Twitter, etc. never lifting their hand to read search and discover the real truth that is no longer spoken or made easily available.

When the Democrats are in control of the White House and Congress, it’s all talk and no action. I could verbatim repeat what I just wrote above, but why bother. Both parties practice somnolence it appears, not by choice but by order. Order of whom?

Hanson talks of how Obama changed the goal post in a violent swing to the Left with his presidency of executive actions. We should know, but most don’t, that executive actions can all be erased by the next president. So how has Trump done in erasing Obama’s executive orders? How about socialized medicine? How about secure borders? What has really changed to slow down or halt the out-of-control migration to progressivism? If it can be built with executive actions surely it can be destroyed by the same.

To the extent in which Hanson describes how the society/slaves of the U.S. Corporation, has progressed into socialism and on the verge of communism, there obviously is no longer enough collective brain power to see the obvious – that all of this radical progressive shift didn’t just happen because the Republicans feel asleep. Or, you can continue to dither and believe that that is the real reason. See you later.

Both parties have their sleeping disorders. Politics in government follows a path and plan that is laid out by someone or something bigger than a political party or a college and university system.

The message here seems to be to hear what I say, BUT DON’T GO LOOK! Society and politics is terrible! We’re all gonna die! BUT DON’T GO LOOK!

Until such time as people are willing to put away all the false teachings that have been and currently are being shoved down their throats as truth, we will never move beyond a handful of people willing to spend ten minutes reading someone’s incomplete perspective of why we are where we are and doing what we are doing.

Much of the world is somnolent, incapable of moving beyond the false dichotomy of a Democrat and Republican Party. It’s much, much bigger than that.

Wake Up!!!

“The old Democratic party championed the working classes, wanted secure borders to protect middle-class union wage earners, and focused generous federal entitlement help on the citizen poor. Civil rights were defined as equality of opportunity for all.

That party is long dead. An updated Hubert Humphrey or even Bill Clinton would not recognize any of the present “Democrats.”

Even the old wing of elite liberals is mostly long gone, with its talk of legal immigration only, opposition to censorship, pro-Israel foreign policy, let-it-hang-out Sixties indulgence, and free speech.

It was superseded by grim progressives who are not so much interested in a square, new, or fair deal for the middle classes, as an entirely different deal that redefines everything from the Bill of Rights and the very way we elect presidents and senators to an embrace of identity politics as its first principle.” <<<READ MORE>>>

The March For Our Lives Was The Coming Out Party For Generation Z, Or Whatever

Another article that deserves the Horse Excrement Award:

The author is Michael J. Hudome. His brief bio included with the article states: “Hudome is a Republican media consultant whose clients have included John McCain for President, all four national committees and several current and former members of the House and Senate.”

Doesn’t that say enough about the author? Anyone who would consult with the likes of John McCain should tell the enlightened what kind of a real person he his. But, if you don’t want to take that as a reason to turn your nose up at his liberal nonsense, then just read the article.

While parts of the beginning seem to make some sense. Intelligent honest people can agree that demanding that guns be taken away to end gun violence doesn’t work and is NOT a solution to an immoral society’s dilemma about the root cause of violence.

However, seeking solutions from children is as stupid an idea as taking away the rights of lawful Americans. Meaning no disrespect to the children of this nation but this has been tried before and it doesn’t work – at least it doesn’t work from the perspective of a wide awake, non-leftist who believes that progressivism is much the root cause of society’s problems today. More of it will only make a worse condition.

I must take just a moment here to add:

BUT DON’T GO LOOK!

Sorry!

But then the author, like any good fake “Republican consultant” who would support John McCain, calls upon the Whore of Babylon to empower Generation Z to solve the problems claiming “Z” “can lead on issues like Gay Rights.” He boldly states that “The future is bright for the “Z” generation. Let’s march with them.”

The author claims that the issue of Gay Rights is a settled issue, that it is the law of the land, therefore are we then to simply accept another societal destructive tool from the Whore of Babylon? Is that what this society uses today as a barometer of moral decency? Isn’t this part of the reason we are in big trouble today?

We have leaders promoting decadence and now we read and hear the same criminal bastards in Washington placing the undeveloped and easily influenced minds of children on a pedestal to be heard. And not only heard but this author suggests that we should accept them as our new leaders and to follow them into the pits of hell.

Gun-Owners Are Being Blamed for [Modern] Liberalism Failures

*Editor’s Note* – This is a very respectable article that appears in the American Thinker about the failures of liberalism. Which brings me to the point of my note. It should be pointed out that this author when referring to liberalism, should more accurately qualify it as Modern Liberalism or a collective ideology of several left-leaning ideologies. Ancient Liberalism contains many great qualities many of which both conservatives and liberals agree on. But not to lose the point of the piece.

It has often been stated that liberalism is a disease. This becomes obvious to those whose ideology is quite different. But Liberalism is not interchangeable with “Leftism,” “Progressivism,” or the Democrat Party.

The Modern American Liberalism version of ideology has been well-hijacked by the Left and the progressives. Leftism, progressivism, and liberalism are not the same and shouldn’t be used interchangeably. As an example, liberalism was never opposed to Capitalism. The differences in ideology between liberals and conservatives on Capitalism is who should control that show – one believing the government should control it, the other leaving it to a free enterprise/individual effort. Leftism opposes Capitalism and most think this is a liberal perspective.

In likewise fashion, liberalism shouldn’t be interchanged with Progressivism. Progressivism is the promotion of making every aspect of our lives “modern” often in disregard of long-held moral and religious reasons as well as disregard for the rule of law or the interpretation of long-held laws, rights, and policy. We all suffer from progressivism to some degree.

The Democrat Party is a mish-mash conglomeration of anyone thinking the party supports and promotes their values. This is the same with the Republican Party. Party politics is a completely different animal and yet the use of the terms are incorrectly lumped together.

Perhaps it might even be more understandable if it was stated that a combination of some or all of the ideology of Liberalism, Leftism, Progressivism, and the Democrat Party that has created failed policies referred to in this article, as they may pertain to public safety, gun-free zones and the right to keep and bear arms.

“Liberalism is largely a process of adopting illogical and factually invalid positions and then artificially placing blame on its opponents when policies based on those positions inevitably fail.  For the blame to bear fruit, it is necessary for people of good conscience to be fooled into believing that their actions and beliefs are bad for society and have brought about shameful consequences.  At the same time, it is necessary for people whose consciences have already been deformed and co-opted by the faux morality of liberalism to be conditioned to think fellow citizens, who have caused no actual harm but hold contrary views, are evil.”<<<Read More>>>

Former Maine IFW Commissioner “DEMANDS” Destruction of Your Inalienable Rights

Repeatedly I have written about the fact that fish and wildlife departments nationwide have gone green and become nothing more than Left-Wing environmentalist that oppose hunting, fishing, and trapping as well as complete predator protection. Going hand in hand with these mental-midget totalitarians is the call to ban guns believing in their progressive empty heads that such an action will somehow, magically stop violent crimes.

If there are any that agree with my assessment of things, they may not realize that this morphing didn’t happen overnight. It did not and here is some proof.

Some may remember former Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Bucky Owen. Owen served under Gov. Angus King (oh, that doesn’t surprise you?) in the late 1990s through early 2000s. It’s difficult to wrap your head around the idea that one man in charge of a government agency where once it’s function was fish and game management, which included the North American Model of Wildlife Management (includes hunting), is now “demanding” action to destroy the Second Amendment and your inalienable right to decide how you would prefer to protect yourself and your property.

In a brief Letter to the Editor of a Bangor, Maine newspaper, Owen writes: “…raise the age for gun ownership to 21; require a safety course for all gun owners just as we do for hunters; reduce the legal clip size to that of a traditional hunting rifle; make bump stocks illegal; require universal background checks for the sale of any firearm; outlaw semiautomatic weapons, such as the AR-15; keep weapons away from those who don’t have the mental capacity to use them correctly; and finally; ensure better data gathering and sharing among law enforcement agencies.”

In addition to his misguided empty-headedness on the fact that besides destroying our rights, not one single thing he suggests will do a damned thing to stop gun violence or make schools safer. But the liberal disease knows no deep-end bounds and he shows his real anger, hatred, and ignorance when he writes: “For those who want to play “Rambo,” make these weapons available at a licensed shooting range, and if that isn’t enough, join the Marines, where you can shoot to your heart’s content.”

This person once led the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Difficult to think this man served in a leadership role.

Owen, and many, many, others have encouraged and supported children dictating the social and political structure of this nation. I am reminded of when the Leftists actively sought to bring children into positions of authority sitting on school boards dictating what they wanted their education/brainwashing factories to look like. I ask, how has that turned out. Are we now so stupid that we look to children for our leadership?

With this infectious disease of progressivism/totalitarianism threatening our very existence, is it any wonder our fish and game departments are doomed?

Why Your Belief of Entitlement to Attack my Heritage?

upsidebackwards2

Over the past several weeks, I have read tons of information about Michael Bloomberg and his upcoming attempt to disarm Maine citizens. Of course Bloomberg, who surely fits the description of being a fascist, forcing others to comply with and adhere to his “authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice.” We’ve seen this in play for a long time now, especially when he was mayor of Rome of the West, New York City, telling people what they could and couldn’t eat, etc.

But it surely doesn’t stop with Michael Bloomberg. This orchestrated effort to change everything that was good to bad, and bad to good, began a long time ago. It is now only at a point where it is so blatant and common that we see it everyday. Along with this, the sheep are accustomed to being led to the slaughter and they like it.

I grew up in Maine and lived there full time for nearly 50 years. I now divide my time between Maine and Florida. During the 50 years in Maine, I can never recall a time when I or the people that I knew, spent any time trying to change people from living the lifestyle they chose or what was an embedded part of their heritage.

Yes, we used to laugh and make lots of jokes about “flatlanders” from “away” but seldom, if ever, did the Maine residents try to stop these people from moving to the Pine Tree State or to force them to change their lifestyle and adopt theirs. I often marveled at those “from away” saying they hated where they came from and loved Maine, and yet, upon arrival, worked diligently to make their new community just like where they came from and hated. It made little sense.

Yesterday, in my pile of reading material, I recall reading one author as saying (and I’m paraphrasing) that Michael Bloomberg’s ballot initiative, and what it will accomplish, is a direct attack on the deeply seeded Maine traditional heritage of gun ownership and the freedoms enjoyed by those people – which is a true statement in my opinion.

Why then, during my first 50 years in Maine, I never once attacked another person for their choice of lifestyle, expecting only to be treated the same, and today, people like me and millions of others, are being steamrolled by disgusting fascists like Michael Bloomberg? It is one of the serious downfalls of what Americans ignorantly love to lay claim to – Democracy. As is often described, democracy is two wolves and a lamb discussing what’s for lunch.

Democracy is mostly rotten to the core. It is not democracy. It is a rigged system in which money and corruption controls everything, including the people. That control has created a society so blinded that they willing go about promoting their own destruction. They have been brainwashed to believe they are entitled to attack and destroy anyone and anything that does not fall in line with THEIR lifestyle, bred into them from birth by leftist progressives.

I would suppose that I, and others like me, have to accept a certain degree of responsibility for what has happened. As I have lived my life, not sticking my nose into other people’s business, the mistake I made was to assume that others were raised the same way. But now it’s too late. We are embroiled in a life of progressivism, where everything is upside-down and backwards, where everything once good is bad and the bad things have become good.

It has been said that success breeds complacency, which in turn breeds failure. I think there’s more to it than that.

However;

DON’T GO LOOK!

Democrats singing same old song: Gun control and climate change

Sort of like the haze Obama apparently lives in, as evidenced by his speech last Sunday, which combined trite assertions that we are winning the war against terror (a hard message to sell with 14 Americans freshly slain at the hands of ISIS-inspired terrorists in California) with blatantly false claims that Americans who value their civil liberties under the Second Amendment are the ones really responsible for it.

Remember, this is the man who said ISIS was “contained.” Recall, too, that California already has all the gun control laws Obama wants to make universal.

Second Amendment: a “FUCKING BOY’S COAT?”

*Editor’s Note* – Progressive are really stupid. No really, they are! They so much epitomize the “True Believer” that they are willing to destroy all the good in order to protect the “belief.” Progressives believe that government, laws, social morality, etc. etc. all must change with a changing society. Instead of preserving and protecting those things of value that made us once great, a country of morals and values, along with a strong belief and following of the Word of God, because we desire a decadent lifestyle, along with central control, socialism achieved through fascism, and communism and a ban on self-determination, because it is Progressivism it must be carried out without consideration of the results.

I have said for many years that gun ownership of 30, 50, 80 or 100 million Americans holding onto 100, 200, 300 million guns, is the last and ONLY deterrent from complete dictatorial rule. Progressives, who believe society no longer has a need for guns, evidently desire dictatorial rule. Instead of working to destroy the Second Amendment, they should be thanking those Americans who understand what a RIGHT is and are willing to protect that right instead of pushing for a lifestyle that resembles that of the days of Noah. Yeshua told his disciples, when asked how they would know of His Second Coming, that times would be as they were in the days of Noah. Maybe it’s time to go study up on how things were in the days of Noah.

Talk is cheap, but persuading Americans to surrender their rights will be expensive, difficult, and time-consuming.

Seriously, try it. Start the process. Stop whining about it on Twitter, and on HBO, and at the Daily Kos. Stop playing with some Thomas Jefferson quote you found on Google. Stop jumping on the news cycle and watching the retweets and viral shares rack up. Go out there and begin the movement in earnest. Don’t fall back on excuses. Don’t play cheap motte-and-bailey games. And don’t pretend that you’re okay with the Second Amendment in theory, but you’re just appalled by the Heller decision. You’re not. Heller recognized what was obvious to the amendment’s drafters, to the people who debated it, and to the jurists of their era and beyond: That “right of the people” means “right of the people,” as it does everywhere else in both the Bill of Rights and in the common law that preceded it. A Second Amendment without the supposedly pernicious Heller “interpretation” wouldn’t be any impediment to regulation at all. It would be a dead letter. It would be an effective repeal. It would be the end of the right itself. In other words, it would be exactly what you want! Man up. Put together a plan, and take those words out of the Constitution.

The Upside-Down World That We Live In

DogPerversionIn another act of brilliance, a writer in the Bangor Daily News, still attempting to find a bear for a mate, made the following statement:

Let’s not forget that the bears of our state –if they belong to anyone other than themselves – belong to all of us, and the way they are treated is a powerful statement about the kind of people we are and the values we hold.

Who could argue such a statement? It’s true. The kind of people we really are is reflected in how we treat animals. However, my view of that statement and the guy’s who made it, couldn’t be any further apart from each other.

The author of this statement, in the context of his article, is saying that humans are bad because we hunt animals – in this case the subject is about bears and the way it is being done.

Progressivism has caused the world to turn topsy-turvey. Those of the progressive persuasion believe this to be a good thing. All they need do is convince themselves that what once was bad is now good. At least in this case, it is my opinion that it is not a good thing. The way that American’s treat animals has turned in a very perverse direction. The more humans are convinced, through propaganda and brainwashing, that animals are “just like humans” and have “rights,” the more extreme the perversion becomes.

If we wind our clocks back to the late 1700s, through historic accounts we can learn that while Thomas Jefferson lived and worked for the U.S. Government to find trading partners throughout much of Europe, he used, much like this author, the same principle that people could be judged by how they treated their animals. However, Jefferson believed, as did much of society then, that coddling animals as pets and thinking of them the same as humans, was a mark of poor character and he refused to do business with them. Today, people find such an act as atrocious. I applaud him.

But, to a progressive, what Jefferson did means absolutely nothing. To them the world must change to meet their growing perversion.

Hunting and gathering has been a part of existence since the beginning of time. Through the progression of time and mind manipulation, people have become convinced that it is acceptable to go to the market and buy a slab of steak, but it is wrong to harvest your own slab of steak through hunting.

Is this really the issue when one argues that animals are just like people, that they have rights? If that were true, then I don’t understand why there is opposition to taking the life of a bear, when probably many of the same people who spend their waking minutes protecting bears, see no problem with killing an unborn human. Is this not really more of a reflection of what kind of people we are than how we treat bears?

Turning one’s focus onto placing value on how we treat animals, only distracts from the reality of how we treat our fellow humans and the value of life that is placed on them. Murder, hatred, stealing, lying, drugs, alcohol, and all those things that once were considered terrible things, doesn’t seem to be a reflection on the “kind of people” we have become, yet, hunting wild animals and how we do it, is? This is sick human behavior, but not to the progressive.

Once man knew what was right and what was wrong. That has all changed now and in the statement highlighted above, it becomes clear that we are no longer using a moral compass to guide human behavior and set. Instead, we are now placing animals as equivalent in all aspects to humans in order to convince ourselves of our own worth and treating animals better than we are treating humans.

We all should be ashamed.

Where Once A Man’s Word Had Honor, Now Lies Have Become Truth

The dictionary defines a progressive as being someone who “favors progress or reform, especially in political matters”. Progress and reform are both gray issues; meaning there is no specific description of what each means. That in and of itself presents an array of troublesome quandaries that have led this fine nation into a spiraling abyss of immorality, or at least can be perceived by anyone maintaining some semblance of an honest and ethical lifestyle. One such example of “favors progress or reform”, in order to achieve a desired result, is lying. Where once a man’s word retained a wealth of value and was as good as good can get, now lying is not only prevalent but eagerly accepted among the masses of progressive, secular Americans. But why?

One of the things I managed to accomplish this summer while at my camp in the woods of Maine was to read. One particular book I read – one that I bought for .50 cents at the library book sale – was another in a growing collection of books I have about Abraham Lincoln, but in particular the conspiracy to assassinate him. The book is: “The True History of the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln and of the Conspiracy of 1865”. The content of the book is essentially the account as told by Louis J. Weichmann.

Weichmann was a friend of John H. Surratt and the Surratt family, including Mary Surratt. He also met and had relationships of varying degrees with many of the so-called conspirators, including John Wilkes Booth, in the killing of Abraham Lincoln and the attempted assassination of others. Because of this association, Weichmann was initially held by authorities as a possible conspirator but eventually much of his testimony was used to convict members of this group.

The book details the testimony and trial of the conspirators (all were charged and tried together). A few years after the initial trial, John H. Surratt was captured and tried and Weichmann details this as well.

Aside from the complicated mess of evidence, real and fabricated, it doesn’t take long to realize that the words and written testimony of those involved in the trial, are held in high esteem by both the author and the courts. Seldom was a person’s word brought into question unless it could be accurately proven to be a falsehood. Time was not wasted attempting to blur the evidence or present a person’s testimony as something it wasn’t in order to have influence over the jury. Words were either fact or fiction and if fiction you better have real proof. If it was proven a man lied, nothing that specific individual had to say or offer in the case had any value and was completely disregarded. Otherwise, a man’s word was seldom questioned as society still viewed a person’s word as something to honor and respect.

Can the same be said for today? We witness courtroom testimony and the words of witnesses, judges, lawyers, etc. and much of what they say, if not an outright lie, is misleading and meant to be so. Each side strives for a desired outcome and subjective morals and subjective truths are used in order to get there.

This is not relegated to just the courtrooms however. Take our media for example. Where once it was mostly taken as a “journalist’s” moral responsibility and obligation to tell only the facts as can be substantiated, now it’s more about ratings and who can be the first to tell a story about an event regardless of the accuracy of the content.

We Americans find ourselves once again mired in another presidential campaign, along with elections of certain member seats in the House and Senate. Honest and unbiased reasoning shows us there is little justification to trust a politician’s word about anything and yet as sure as flies are attracted to garbage, voters are drawn to the words, not perhaps because of the truths they may hold but for the want of what those recitations promise. We care not if anything uttered is truth, just that what they say images our desired subjective truths and morals. We are so fickle!

It is readily discussed these days, and surely who can argue, that what once was news is now entertainment. One coined word for this is “infotainment”. While it may be entertainment, and some members of this “news” entertainment might willingly agree to its description, it certainly is not presented to the masses of people as entertainment. Shouldn’t it be? Or has everything that involves truth and morality become subjective? Of course it has. American people take comedy and entertainment shows like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart or Colbert Nation with Stephen Colbert as legitimate news shows. We are so volatile!

At essentially every level of American society, progressiveness, i.e. the “development of an individual or society in a direction considered more beneficial than and superior to the previous level”, exists to some degree. We are all guilty. But what happens when one’s desires and idealism become the driving force in their life? To what lengths will they go and what conservative values are they willing to abandon in order to achieve that thought of as a, “superior level”?

None of this is new. This idea that morals and truth is subjective, meaning that one’s mind and thoughts can rightly justify the devaluing of objective truth, has been around in the minds of men for many centuries. Søren Aabye Kierkegaard, a Danish philosopher who died at age 42 and lived from 1813 – 1855, said: “…the thing is to find a truth which is true for me, to find the idea for which I can live and die.” He also was quoted as saying: “When he is nearest to being in two places at the same time he is in passion; but passion is momentary, and passion is also the highest expression of subjectivity.”

Because someone is passionate about what they might believe, say and do, this can justify subjective truth and the lack of adherence to a moral compass? Wasn’t it James Madison who said that the only way our founding Constitution and Bill of Rights would ever survive was if the nation maintained a moral backbone. It has not. As a matter of fact, the so-called progressives have managed to convince our American youth that the worship of God Almighty played no role in the construction of our constitution and thus the end result is a promotion of subjective morals and truth, leaving a nation lacking in leadership to seek Kierkegaard’s truth – that which is true to me.

When considering this kind of thought and the results of those thoughts, also acknowledge how this enters into the many debates that exist in this country that are “passionate” and often, if not always, embroiled in one’s subjective truth. In the work that I do, this is prevalent in the debates about wildlife management and the environment. Just pick a subject.

The Bible says in John 14:6, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father except through Me.” For those who still adhere to objective truth and morals, God told us in his Word, that He alone was the Truth. Man’s words therefore can only be held to account of the Word of God in seeking truth. When’s the last time that happened in this country?

For the secular minded, be it told that Nazi Germany based its “truth” to justify the murdering of innocent humans on Darwin’s principle of “survival of the fittest”, therefore discovering their Kierkegaard kind of truth in killing those they believed to be inferior human beings. They also relied on Friedrich Nietzsche’s belief that: “Since there is no God to will what is good, we must will our own good. And since there is no eternal value, we must will the eternal recurrence of the same state of affairs.”

Not that the United States has now become Nazi Germany but provided that this nation, including each of us as accountable individuals, as well as our governments, powerful media sources, non governmental agencies, etc., continues down this road of dissing the Truth of God’s word and seeking their own truth to fit their agendas and ideals, we can only expect to witness a more blatant and intended bunch of lies in order to accomplish our goals.

God’s word is Truth. Every moral compass of the world should point to the Truth. When it does not, the lies become commonplace and those creating and perpetuating those lies will have succeeded in convincing themselves that “their truth” is what works for them and therefore all others become the lies.
