Wisconsin Still Can't Make Up Its Mind

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Wisconsin DNR still hasn’t figured out how to deal with plans for an extended hunt through early December in the northern part of the state that might interfere with snowmobilers.

When snow arrives early in the northern parts, snowmobile trails open and grooming can begin. Snowmobilers say that with hunting still open into early December it will have an effect on their activity.

I think I can figure that one out pretty easily. Hunting opportunities aren’t available nearly as long as snowmobililng, provided there is snow, so tell the snowmobilers to put a sock in it and deal with the hunters until the season is completed – or is it who has the most money?
