The Ohio Division of Wildlife sent a proposal to the Wildlife Council for approval that would create another weekend of shotgun hunting for deer, sandwiched between the regular gun season and the start of muzzle loader deer season. The dates would be December 16 and 17.
The regular deer gun season runs from November 27 thought December 3. The muzzle loader season from December 27 through the 30.
The proposed archery season scheduled to begin on October 7 and run through February 3, would also add an extra weekend.
