Officials In Colorado Will Attempt To Rehabilitate Mountain Lion

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A 50-pound young mountain lion entered a house in Colorado through a “cat door” used by a family pet cat named Mungit. The lion ate the cat and located the cats dry food and devoured that as well.

Officials from the Department of Wildlife captured the puma and have decided they will keep it at a rehabilitation center for the summer until it matures and then release it back into the wild. The normal proceedure in dealing with mountain lions that have become too familiar with the human environment is to euthanize them.

Rehab? Okay, we’ll be seeing this cat again, I’m sure!
