Antlerless Deer Permit Costs Decline In Indiana

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This doesn’t happen very often. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has dropped the price on antlerless deer permits. This doesn’t affect the initial permit purchase but does subsequent permits.

The initial antlerless permit costs Indiana residents $24 and non-residents $150. Subsequent permits will cost residents and non-residents $15 and $24 respectively.

Indiana is witnessing a growing whitetail deer population since they were re-introduced into the state in the 1950s. In an effort to help manage and control growth, DNR says offering antlerless deer permits at reduced prices will encourage hunters to harvest more deer.
