The annual meeting of the Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs in Pennsylvania voted by an overwhlelming majority to fight proposals being made by the state Legislature to enact strict gun laws in an effort to curb mounting violence in Philadelphia.

As is usual, lawmakers at times believe that to stop gun violence you need to take guns away from the lawful people, even though studies prove this is not what works. The FSC vowed to fight any proposals that would limit the rights of law abiding gun owners.

At the same meeting, the group voted to support a return to a two-week buck hunting season and a two-day doe season. Hunters by and large are unhappy with the direction the deer management program is going.
