Tragic Hunting Accident Turns Maine Town Upsidedown

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

18-year old Megan Ripley was shot and killed near her new home on Christian Ridge Road in South Paris, Maine. The hunter who fired the fatal shot has not been identified and the Maine Warden Service, the lead investigators in the shooting, are withholding just about all information until their job is done.

This is the first hunting related fatality in Maine since 2004. Any death of this kind is tragic and our heart felt sympathy goes out to the families of the victim as we can never understand their grief.

With little or no facts to go on, it is irresponsible to make any conjecture into what might have happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering.
