Therefore it comes as no big surprise to learn that Gabriel Giffords, former U.S. Congresswoman from Arizona who suffered wounds in a shooting rampage by a deranged idiot, posed with an AR-15 rifle and deliberately made attempts to deceive her constituency by appearing to “toughen her image.” Hey! Anything for a vote is the unspoken motto of slime ball politicians.

The latest uproar happened when some angry Arizona law enforcement officials thought there was a degree of hypocrisy taking place when Giffords used an “assault weapon” to steal votes and then turn around and become involved in efforts to ban the very same tool used for vote stealing.

According to the NRA, NBC news reported that the NRA would not oppose the expansion of background checks involved with purchasing firearms. NRA states that; “This statement is completely untrue.”

The more stories like this one I see, the more I am becoming convinced that the effort by the Department of Homeland Security to buy up 1.8 billion rounds of ammunition might be for the purpose of keeping it out of the hands of citizens. I would sooner think that if DHS was buying more calibers than basically two.
