*Editor’s Note* – A bit over a year ago I wrote the below article, shared it with a couple of family members and then saved it away for good keeping. After watching a video today, one that was posted on this website by everyone’s favorite contributor, Rattler Rider, I thought it was time to take this work out of mothballs and share it.

I am guilty of one thing. My imagination is limited as you will see when you watch the video. I think my general thoughts on this issue are worthy of consideration but I am incapable of imagining what technology and “Artificial Intelligence” is, has, and will do to all of us.
Revelation 13:16,17
I’ve been doing some studying/research into these two verses of Scripture and asking Heavenly Father to cause His Spirit of Truth to guide me. Here are some thoughts. First, the two verses as found in the 1599 Geneva Bible:
“16 And he made all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads.
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.”
I took some of the words of these two verses and began examining the original Hebrew and Greek text in order to better understand the meaning. Here’s what I have found.
Right, wrong or indifferent, many people have been taught that the “mark of the beast” is perhaps like even a tattoo, showing the number 666 on the forehead or the right hand. Is this accurate? I ask, not to be caught up in unimportant details, however, verse 18 explains about having “wisdom,” which can only come from our Savior and Heavenly Father.
I’m not going to go into a whole lot of detail but I will point out the following:
The “mark” is mostly straightforward. A mark, as from the original Hebrew can mean a “scratch” or an “etching.” It can also mean a “stamp” as in a stamp of servitude. Interesting this mark? It is obvious that such a “mark” is a means of recognition.
The Scripture says that the “Beast” will force everyone (or make every attempt to do so) receive “his mark.” [As to the “Beast,” that identity most likely requires a completely new set of studies. The “Beast” in this context is most commonly recognized as being the “Anti Christ,” and/or the system/conglomeration belonging to and in control of, the Anti Christ/Beast.] I will leave that for the moment.]
This mark will be “in” one of two locations on our bodies. The Scripture says so.
Let’s look at the “in” as used in the Hebrew. It can have more general meaning than what, in modern-day English, we most often refer to as “in.” We might think of “in” as being a precise location – in the eye, or in my ear, or in my hand. However, the Hebrew use of the word (epi) is used in general terms to describe a general place. Understand that I’m not suggesting that the use of this word doesn’t or can’t suggest a specific place, i.e. “on” the right hand or “on” the forehead – it might even mean “in” the hand or “in” the forehead. I’m only stating that the Hebrew term has several meanings and uses, some to include nonspecific places, including “near,” ”beside,” or “touching.”
We now look at the word “hand.” “Cheir” (“C” pronounced as “K”) or “khire” can mean the literal hand. It can also mean power or an instrument of power/authority.
The forehead, as used here, can have indistinct meaning as well. The word “metopon” can, in fact, mean the specific place of the forehead. But it is also used to suggest the face, or anywhere on or near the face.
Interesting.
Before getting a closer look and thoughts about verse 17, let me offer these ideas.
Evidently, the “Beast” is going to require everyone to have his “mark,” either on or near the hand or on or near the face/forehead – and maybe other options (see below).
We don’t know what the mark will be. I might be a tattoo but I doubt it. That would mean probably more people would oppose having a tattoo – for the wrong reasons – put on their face or hand. Think of the notorious murderer Charles Manson who has a tattoo of a Nazi swastika on his forehead. Even though tattoos these days seem to run rampant, it still remains but only in a small percentage of the population.
The “mark” might be a microchip, suggested by many, implanted into our face/forehead or hand/wrist. I might suggest that these implants are done without our knowledge but that seems a bit contrary to what the Scriptures tell us. It appears we will know the purpose of having this “mark,” although we might not know specifically by whom it is administered, therefore I have my doubts that a visible “666” will exist on the forehead or on the hand.
Consider that a “mark” may already exist. Perhaps we already have a “mark” used for buying and selling. I’m talking about our eyes (iris scan) and thumb or fingerprint. In the Hebrew, this idea does not seem contrary to possible translations. Remember, I am approaching the “mark” as a means of identification. For what other purposes might the “Beast” need a “mark?”
Just some thoughts and the reason for them is that I believe it is obvious that we are not going to be asked to do something very radical. We know that over time, the human brain can be manipulated by evil powers to dumb down certain things and that in time (how long?) we could be trained to accept something as radical as a big tattoo, or maybe even a brand from a hot branding iron, the way savages did it with slaves years ago.
I think we are wrongfully taught that all of us will have to have some “stamp” showing 666 on us. The Scriptures don’t tell us that. So let’s look at verse 17, which I discovered something I had never noticed before. Here’s the verse again:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.
Read carefully what the verse says. It says “no man might buy or sell” unless he has the “mark.” The next word is very important. It says “OR.” “…no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark ‘OR’ the name of the beast, ‘OR’ the number of his name.”
Here I see that we might have three choices or that we need one of three identifiable instruments to buy and sell that are approved by “the beast.” What does that mean?
Verse 18 tells us that the number of the beast is the number of a man. We read that in the formation of “The Mysteries” around the same time as the rise of Nimrod and Old Babylon, the number of 666 was given to the original head of “The Mysteries,” – Janus. Janus or E-anush (Chaldee) means “The Man.” The Man was the fabricated false god of the Mysteries. Janus is also the same existence as Saturn. History tells us this. We know how there were so many names to describe the same person which makes the etymology of these languages extremely difficult to follow. (Satan: the author of confusion).
If we now know that the Mysteries gave the number 666 as one of the “mysteries” to the enlightened, as the number that gives title to Janus and that Janus is the same as Saturn, we also know that the Pope outwardly claims, although people choose to put on blinders, to be Saturn himself. If this is Truth and we follow the logical progression, wisdom might tell us that the “number of the man” i.e. 666 is the number of the Pope, the Image of the Anti-Christ. Isn’t it all that makes sense? Or not.
So let’s look again. The Image of the Anti-Christ is the Pope who carries with him the number of a man – 666. Will the Pope and his power structure, which we have been able to examine with the Spirit of Truth, have in place (or already has in place) a system that can be used in order that “small and great, rich and poor, free and bond” might buy and sell, i.e. to be able to eat to live? Readers that don’t understand the expansive power that encompasses the entire Earth by the Vatican, need to get busy and learn all about it. How else, can you recognize who you are choosing to follow?
Will those who are drinking the wine from the Cup of the Whore of Babylon even realize they are willingly taking the “mark” so that they can buy or sell? I doubt very seriously that anything that is part of this controlling instrument to buy and sell will be directly identifiable with the number 666, and yet if you polled the population of the world, are not they already so brainwashed and hung up on 666 that they won’t know it when it happens? They will or might be looking for an easily identifiable 666 and they don’t even know now who controls all the banking in the world. Let he who has wisdom?
Perhaps.
When the time comes, the Image of the Anti-Christ, the Pope, will be consumed by or possessed by, Satan. This is the point in which the “Beast” will cause all those without his “mark,” the instrument to buy and sell, to be killed.
But we need to go back and look again at verse 17. That Scripture tells us that in order to buy and sell, or in other words we must be a follower of the Anti-Christ, we must either have his “mark” OR his “name” or the “number of his name.”
I’m thinking, “What’s in your wallet?”
I might have the mark of the beast right in my wallet right now. I have a bank debit card, with a microchip in it. All banking is controlled by the City of London, which is owned and controlled by the Pope/Vatican, the Image of the Anti-Christ. Is my credit/debit card number, and all associated information stored on this system of banking, “the number of his name?”
We also know that the technology is also being used in which an iris scan is done, or a finger/thumb print scanned, in order to complete a transaction. Nobody identifies any of this as being done by “a number of a man.” We are still looking for the obvious 666.
I’m sure there are holes in this and I’m not saying it’s just exactly how things will and are going to be. I do know that we are very heavily deceived and along with that deception, we have wrongfully been taught certain things that are NOT the Truth. The Jesuits are teaching everywhere. They are doing this to mislead and to distract. How are we going to know when we are following Satan and when we are following the Savior if we don’t recognize and understand what’s going on around us?
Just some ideas to think about…not to obsess.
