Letter: Bishop and Labrador Express Concerns Over Obama-Era Climate Change Programs at Interior

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 3, 2017

Today, Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Chairman Raúl Labrador (R-ID) sent a letter to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke expressing concerns and requesting information on two climate change adaptation programs established within the Department of the Interior during the Obama administration.

The Climate Science Centers (CSCs), which are led by the U.S. Geological Survey, and the Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs), which are principally managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, have both been identified as having insufficient internal controls, lacking transparency and potentially funding duplicative research.

“Despite a significant federal investment of at least $149 million,  their effectiveness, management, and levels of oversight remain serious concerns to the Committee. Since their inception, the CSCs and LCCs have lacked necessary internal controls, failed to develop effective communication policies, and have put taxpayer dollars at risk by acting in contravention of guidelines issued by Interior and the Office of Management and Budget,” the letter states.

“Most recently OIG issued a program evaluation in which it found that taxpayer dollars are further imperiled due to the fact that the ‘CSCs and LCCs had no formal process to coordinate the prevention of duplication in research grants…’ In its review, OIG found that the CSCs and LCCs lacked a written policy for coordination, and that the LCCs failed to adequately keep track of their projects in a centralized database that could be utilized and accessed program-wide.”

Bishop Statement on Executive Order on the Waters of the United States Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 28, 2017

Washington, D.C. – Today, President Trump issued an Executive Order on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) controversial Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) issued the following statement:

“This rule was the epitome of punitive regulation. Beginning its reversal is a welcome reprieve for states, farmers, ranchers, and urban and rural communities across the country from the punishing overreach of the EPA. President Trump and EPA Administrator Pruitt’s commitment to restore federalism in our country’s approach to environmental stewardship is a much needed shift. With this order, no longer will states’ rightful primacy in water management be undermined by executive fiat and oppressive federal bullying.”

Alaskans Must Stop Burning Wood to Stay Warm

You Can’t Fix This Kind of STUPID!

“But alas, now comes the federal government to tell the inhabitants of Alaska’s interior that, really, they should not be building fires to keep themselves warm during the winter. The New York Times reports the Environmental Protection Agency could soon declare the Alaskan cities of Fairbanks and North Pole, which have a combined population of about 100,000, in “serious” noncompliance of the Clean Air Act early next year.”<<<Read More>>>

E.P.A. Broke Law With Social Media Push for Water Rule, Auditor Finds

*Editor’s Comment* – But does any of this matter? Our government has shown itself to be above the law, with no repercussions when laws are broken. Laws must be for the subjects and not the rulers.

The Environmental Protection Agency engaged in “covert propaganda” and violated federal law when it blitzed social media to urge the public to back an Obama administration rule intended to better protect the nation’s streams and surface waters, congressional auditors have concluded.

EPA uses ‘covert propaganda’ to trick Americans into accepting totalitarian policies, auditor finds

But the point is, VOA – and other CIA-related “PSYOPS” (psychological operations) conducted at various times and in various geographical locations throughout the history of the agency – are part of deliberate federal government efforts to push a narrative, whether true or not, on an unsuspecting population, for the purposes of gaining advantage.

Now, it seems, federal agencies are in the same business of pushing the federal government’s narrative through propaganda spread via more modern methods like social media.

EPA Violated Publicity or Propaganda and Anti-Lobbying Provisions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) violated publicity or propaganda and anti-lobbying provisions contained in appropriations acts with its use of certain social media platforms in association with its “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rulemaking in fiscal years 2014 and 2015. Specifically, EPA violated the publicity or propaganda prohibition though its use of a platform known as Thunderclap that allows a single message to be shared across multiple Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr accounts at the same time. EPA engaged in covert propaganda when the agency did not identify EPA’s role as the creator of the Thunderclap message to the target audience. The agency’s #DitchtheMyth and #CleanWaterRules social media campaigns did not implicate the publicity or propaganda prohibition. EPA also violated anti-lobbying provisions though its hyperlinks to certain external Web pages in an EPA blog post. Both of the external Web pages led to appeals to the public to contact Congress in support of the WOTUS rule, which taken in context, constituted appeals to contact Congress in opposition to pending legislation. EPA associated itself with these messages through its decision to include the hyperlinks in its blog post.<<<Read Decision>>>

GOP lawmaker moves to impeach EPA chief McCarthy | Fox News

*Editor’s Note* – The norm in Washington, as well as far too much of today’s society, is lying. What would prompt a politician (I’m sure he’s never lied before) to attempt to impeach someone for lying. When you stop and consider the bold lying that takes place everyday from the disgusting, corrupt politicians in Washington, NOBODY want’s to impeach anybody for such crimes as it might draw attention onto themselves revealing their own skeletons.

This is a good-ole-boys(girls) club. Don’t rock the boat. Unexplained things happen when you do.

A Republican lawmaker is moving to impeach the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, accusing her of committing perjury and making false statements in testimony to Congress – though the impeachment bid seems unlikely to succeed.

Wyoming man files suit over massive EPA fines for building pond

A rancher is taking the Environmental Protection Agency to federal court, asking a judge to stop the agency from fining him more than $16 million because he built a small pond on his property.

Andy Johnson of Fort Bridger, Wyoming says he made sure to get the proper permits from his state government before building the pond.

Johnson is facing millions in fines from the federal government after the EPA determined his small pond — technically a “stock pond” to provide better access to water for animals on his ranch — is somehow violating the federal Clean Water Act.

Drought can increase radon gas risks

*Editor’s Note* – If you believe ANY of what is written in this article, you are a big fool. Not only is this report loaded with “maybes,” “coulds,” and “mights” but they must think all of us stupid. Notice the headline and the quoted excerpt from the article. They tell us drought CAN cause an increase in radon gas to levels “higher than recommended levels.” Mind you, like cholesterol, someone who stands to profit, selected an “acceptable” level.

However, further down in the article is reads: “Wet weather is usually more common for elevated radon levels, since wet ground allows the gases to move more quickly to the surface.” (emphasis added)

So, there you have it. Drought (dry weather) CAN increase radon levels and wet weather USUALLY elevates levels of radon.

Just like all of you run to the doctors to make sure you get your monthly doses of cholesterol and blood pressure-lowering toxic chemicals, make sure to contact a “professional” to come to your house and “test” for radon. They can fix it. Yessiree! They “vent it outdoors” so it doesn’t harm you. Remember, they told us radon is heavier than air and so sinks. When the radon is vented outside…..what? It’s not harmful to people anymore? Bwahahahahaha…Bwahahahahahaha. LMAO

The severe drought in some parts of the U.S.—particularly California—may be increasing the risk of radon gas inside homes.
