Maine Rejects Bloomberg’s Fascist Anti-Gun Referendum

Maine voters rejected Michael Bloomberg’s fascist proposal to require background checks on all gun sales, including private sales, by lying, cheating and stealing to convince voters his proposal was nothing more than to increase background checks. The deceptive term used by anti-gun fascists is “universal background checks.” There was nothing universal about Bloomberg’s proposal and fortunately a majority of those voters in Maine who went to the polls, said no thank you to Bloomberg and his totalitarian “True Believers.”

The vote was 51.26% against and 48.74 with 502 of 603 precincts reporting. The vote was closer than true Second Amendment supporters and/or those who believe in a person’s right to choose how they will defend themselves and their property should have hoped for, but the proposal failed, this time around, nonetheless.

So what’s next? As I said before, even though Mainers clearly supported constitutional carry and now disprove of Bloomberg’s idea of “universal background checks,” it isn’t over. Debate during the campaign clearly showed that Maine voters support an increase in background checks, indicating they have ceded more of their rights once thought guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, thinking that background checks work and a right to self protection isn’t universal.

Mainers can expect, like with the bear hunting ban proposals, that fascists will return next time around in their assault on the freedoms of Americans. Why give them anything?

Fighting Against Destruction of Rights While Promoting Destruction of Rights Makes Little Sense

While I support anyone who will work to protect a person’s God-given right to self protection and the right to choose how one should be able to protect themselves, I cannot, with a straight face, allow for the concession of a right to keep and bear arms while fighting against an absurd, fascist attempt to rid the state of Maine and others from gun ownership.

Question 3 isn’t about so-called (fake) universal background checks before a gun can be purchased, swapped or loaned. It’s about gun registry, as are background checks of any kind. Once guns are registered, the fascist government (the United States) will know how many and of what kinds of guns you own when they come to confiscate them. If you understand that principle, then simply supporting a background check – the only ones who get them are law-abiding citizen-subjects – is advocating for the destruction of a person’s right to protect themselves and their choice to do so. If you do not understand this principle, then you are one of the blinded who think “reasonable” prohibitions to the Second Amendment are necessary and proper, and while appearing to be a supporter of such a right, in reality, you are a contributor to its destruction, and ultimately, of yourself.

An example of this is found in articles published in Maine newspapers. I applaud the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine’s executive director, David Trahan, for his relentless work in trying to ward off a fascist billionaire, ordered by his bosses to come to Maine and stir up as much havoc as can possibly be done in order to pit people against each other, while at the same time, attempting to destroy the Second Amendment.  However…..

I see things a bit differently. Make no mistake, I vehemently oppose Michael Bloomberg’s effort. I also vehemently oppose gun registries of any kind. The requirement of a background check, even though we are lied to that the information used in a Federal Background Check is not retained for further use, is nothing more than a gun registry.

The Bangor Daily News carries an opinion piece from David Trahan. Trahan is not the only one fighting against Question 3 that indicates they would support background checks for private gun sales in Maine. Trahan writes: “The reason we strongly oppose Question 3 is because it includes firearm “transfers” as well as sales.” Let’s not kid ourselves. What this statement means is that if Bloomberg’s Question 3 did not included background checks on “transfers” they would support it. That is unfortunate.

The limitations and destruction of any and all rights, inalienable or government granted, all come from concession and compromise. Fascists like Michael Bloomberg, and the totalitarians that follow him, want to be the dictators of what, if any, rights and privileges people have. One reason they continue in their onslaught of human rights is because they know that with each proposal they gain something because the opposition thinks offering up a concession or a compromise will appease the lion and that the lion will go away – only until such time that it is hungry again. That’s how it works and that is how promoting such behavior at any level is supporting your own self destruction. It makes little sense.

Maine needs to stop Question 3. However, if that should happen, the lion will return again because, if nothing else, it has learned that they can easily win another limit, a regulation, with a person’s loss of right to buy and sell a firearm but not a transfer….this time.

Which will come first? The loss of the right to loan a gun to a friend, or the right to keep and bear arms. At some point, this continued ceding of inalienable rights will end in the all out prohibition of anyone’s right to keep and bear arms…well, except the fascists who make the laws and force them onto everyone else but themselves.

Oppose Question 3, but oppose all efforts to limit your right. It’s what works.

Question 3: If What We Are Told is True

universalbackgroundcheckIt’s a simple concept…to me anyway, but I struggle to understand how and why others cannot see what is so easily seen. We are told many things. Most people just believe and follow along, making no effort to even ask simple questions.

Maine faces a referendum on this November’s ballot – Question 3. It is presented by the fascist Michael Bloomberg, and his billions of dollars he got by lying, cheating and stealing. Why then should everyone not suspect his law proposal isn’t rooted in lying, cheating and stealing? Carefully crafted (and why hasn’t anyone questioned how the Maine attorney general allowed wording on a ballot initiative that is completely misleading?) the proposed law is presented in the form of a “universal background check.” What is a universal background check? Has it been defined, other than its use throughout media? We distrust media…they say…and yet we blindly listen and follow. We are sold the idea that a universal background check would reduce crime and gun violence. We know it won’t but…well, I shouldn’t say that, because, according to the same media, the majority of the people believe it will. Which brings me to my point.

Whether truth or fiction, we are told that the majority of Mainers (somewhere around 61%) think background checks are a good thing. (Note: I’ve never seen any data or evidence of what people think a background check is, or how any polling question was worded.) Nationwide, this same majority of opinion, is sold to us repeatedly by the press. We already have background checks but liars have successfully convinced enough people that there exists “loopholes” that magically allow the sale of guns to mass murderers.

If any of this was true, then it would seem honest to present a proposed law that would close any, so-called, loopholes that might allow the sale of a gun to someone attempting to skirt the mountain of laws on the books already that are supposed to stop criminal purchase and ownership of guns. Such is not the case. The proposed law is poorly crafted, or done so intentionally, confusing, and goes far beyond any notion of closing loopholes to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Why?

Common sense should lend people to question the real purpose of the proposed new law, but obviously it doesn’t to the majority of people. If Bloomberg and his little minions honestly have a concern about finding better and effective ways to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and would be criminals, they sure have a dishonest approach to it, where their proposals are only geared to the destruction of lawfully owned guns by law-abiding citizens. Doesn’t that or shouldn’t that raise some question in your mind?

Laws do not work and never have worked for criminals. Every law ever written was designed to stop the criminal but it doesn’t work. Insanely, this society insists that crafting laws, which are nothing other than destroyers of our rights and freedoms, will stop a criminal.

I contend that the Second Amendment should be upheld in the form that it was written…period. Lawful citizens are lawful because they have some semblance of a moral compass. Usually such people need only some guidance and leadership by example. Criminals are criminals…period. Can we ever learn this concept?

How Much “Sacrifice” of “Liberties” is Too Much?

*Editor’s Note* – This is another example of the revelation to fascists and totalitarians as to the willingness to cede rights that some clown deems reasonable. I’ve written before that Maine’s Question 3 is, in fact, a referendum by the gun stealing lobby to determine how much Mainer’s are willing to give up, in order to keep some. Not so bright totalitarians have tried twice, unsuccessfully, we think, to ban bear baiting, hounding and trapping. But what have they learned? I’ll let you decide that. In their greed, they lost twice. They lost patience and perhaps for a good reason. They should have learned what Mainers are willing to give up in order to keep some of their bear hunting wishes. It’s no difference with guns and gun rights. Bloomberg and his coagulation of fools should be learning just how much of the Second Amendment – that amendment that offers no variations or concessions to practice – Mainers are willing to give up to keep some.

It always appears that in attempts to, not support the Second Amendment, but oppose those who hate it, perhaps in efforts to appear nice and reasonable, too often we read and hear their self-perceived reasonableness in restricting the Second Amendment. Is the same amount of reasonableness afforded other items on the Bill of Rights? This is the valuable information fascists like Bloomberg need to take into the next round. Instead of suggesting there is no need for “universal background checks” and that this proposal is complicated and unenforceable, why not a stand against background checks? We know they don’t work and what other constitutional right do we have to undergo a centralized government background check in order to exercise that right?

Instead, we compromise and will continue to compromise until there is essentially nothing left. In mathematics, if you keep halving a number, you never reach zero. However, if you take a perfectly good length of rope, a tool with many uses, and keep cutting it in half, eventually you end up with nothing worth keeping.

If you believe in your right to self protection and that you should have the choice to decide how you want to do that, then there is no need to be apologizing or seeking compromise.

“As a nation, we’ve already sacrificed too many liberties in the name of security to reasonably expect either. Mainers shouldn’t be willing to sacrifice any more of our liberties in the name of our own security, let alone to possibly, slightly increase the security of other people who are already pretty secure.”<<<Read More>>>

Question 3 And Collateral Damage – It’s Real

Many say that the newly-passed gun control law in Oregon is a clone to the one fascist Michael Bloomberg is trying to buy in Maine with his Question 3 referendum. Blind followers refuse or don’t care the real implications of such a draconian law, and to somehow justify their positions they simply deny any suggestion that Question 3 poses multiple issues at many levels and is impossible to enforce, short of all out gun registration and confiscation.

However, we now see that in Oregon, a church pastor won a rifle in a raffle. He gave it to a friend for safe keeping. As I understand it, he didn’t sell him the gun, he didn’t give him the gun and he didn’t loan him the gun. He asked his friend to store it for him.

In the end, this pastor (it doesn’t matter if he was the boogie man) broke the law, but administrators of the police state opted not to “charge” the man for breaking their fascist laws.

Those that

DON’T GO LOOK

don’t want to go look because they are not interested in the rights of others. It is time that we begin a systematic destruction of all rights the same way these totalitarians are dismantling the right to self protection because they don’t like it. There’s a lot of so-called “rights” that I don’t like, but I don’t feel the need to destroy someone else’s rights in order to promote mine. But that may soon change. Maybe these blinded clowns will realize their friends are their enemies when, one day, they discover – if at all possible – there is nothing left except their complete slavery to government fascists – if they are allowed to live long enough to see it.

If Someone Killed My Son, How Would I Feel?

Among the dense forest of facts, lies, opinions, propaganda, brainwashing, ideology, nonsense, ignorance and anything else that’s worthless, comes an opinion piece published in a Maine newspaper in which the author asks, “If there was only one firearm-related murder in Maine this year, and it was your son, how would you feel?”

That’s very easy for me to answer…and no I have not lost my son to being shot. The answer is simple and to the point. I would be extremely angry. Angry, yes, that I lost my son, but most angry because there exists totalitarian, non thinking, brain dead idiots, lead by fascists like Michael Bloomberg and blindly followed by those too ignorant to understand they are headed toward a cliff where they will be asked to jump off and they will gladly do it. Their actions forbid my right to choose. What gives them that right? It matters not what my choices are, the mere fact that such nasty, rotten people feel entitled to prohibit me or my son, or anybody else, from having the right to choose how they can defend themselves against savages, the product of an immoral, hedonistic, diverse, tolerant, secular society.

No laws, regardless of their intent, are ever going to stop the criminal. If you believe there are more criminals today than yesterday, do you think this is so because there are more or less laws? Are there more criminals because the existing laws are not enforced? Do you think there are more criminals because society produces criminals for various reasons? And, does it matter?

What matters is what I have the right to do. That right is the right to choose. Nobody should be able to prohibit my right to choose how to protect myself and my family. No laws are going to keep guns out of the hands of criminals who want them. That is a fact. Denying it doesn’t change it.

Take away my right to choose, and I will be most angry at people like Michael Bloomberg and those who don’t think and will not think and will react to emotions thinking if they increase the chances of my son being killed with a gun is somehow the right thing to do.

Sometimes life sucks. Making it suck for everybody else doesn’t change your suck factor.

BDN An Obvious Mouthpiece For Fascist Bloomberg

If one ever wondered on what ground the Bangor Daily News stands on and whether they would sail with or against the money and power of the fascists posing as leftists, simply read the newspaper’s editorial about Michael Bloomberg’s Question 3 – a referendum to destroy the rights of Maine people.

There is nothing so lazy and ignorant by any journalist, reader, researcher or editorial staff than copying and pasting information spoon fed them by political activists without verifying its factual content. It also lays bare their political bias and intent. The Bangor Daily News did not practice honest journalism, even in conducting an opinion piece, and even though we have known of the left bias of the BDN, it has become that much more obvious that real journalism takes a back seat to politics, especially those driven by the power and greed of a multi-billionaire.

Shame on the BDN for exposing themselves as biased and inept.

Another Misleading, Non-Event, Clap-Trap About Gun Sales

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN)is at it trying to convince readers/viewers/listeners that private sales of guns in Maine is a problem. I have to wonder if MPBN edited their original story. A portion of the report I have in my email box says, “Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund found that unlicensed sellers placed more than 8,000 gun ads in Uncle Henry’s and posted more than 500 to Armslist.com from 2012 to 2016.” This morning, MPBN shows the same article at the same link that reads, “Looking at nearly four years of ads starting in 2012, a team of researchers from the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund found that Uncle Henry’s printed about 8,400 ads for guns from more than 4,400 unlicensed sellers. Armslist.com posted more than 700 over the last two years.” So which lie is Everytown for Gun Safety (Everytown) and MPBN planning to use?

The same report also says, “Previous research done by the group [Everytown] in other states suggests that 1 in 10 interested, online gun buyers has a criminal history that bars them from purchasing or possessing guns under federal law.”

First, let me address the last statement. We are told that “previous research…suggests.” You need to understand this. Suggesting something is not fact. The truth is, they have no idea what the demographics are concerning prospective private sales of gun.

I’m inclined to think the Everytown and MPBN intended to print what I showed from my email box. Probably after considering that their blather is a useless piece of drivel, they decided to change it up so they wouldn’t look so stupid.

From “2012 to 2016” is five years by my calculations. In a five-year period of time, according to this report ads were placed – 8,500 of them – in two prominent selling platforms. Please note the ads were placed. We have no knowledge as to how many of the ads resulted in sales.

If you break down the numbers, each year, in the two venues, 1,700 ads to sell guns were placed. Big deal. It’s still an insignificant and useless number that the totalitarians for Bloomberg the Fascist are attempting to convince people that private sales of guns is done mostly by criminals.

I might SUGGEST, using the same data MPBN published that suggested 1 in 10 perspective gun buyers might have a criminal past prohibiting them to buy and/or possess firearms, that of the 1,700, possibly 170 (1 in 10) that looked at ads in Uncle Henry’s and Armslist.com were criminals. Again I ask, so what? Any of these graphics have no meaning at all.

I refer readers to my post yesterday about the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (BATFE) Trace Reports. Of the million or more guns that exist in Maine, including every gun sale, private or otherwise, a mere 316 were traced by authorities. We are told by BATFE that traces mean nothing as far as a crime being committee. BATFE states that they can run a trace on any gun, at any time, for any reason they want, and, they don’t even have to report it to the Federal Government. Please go read the BATFE Disclaimer on the first page of the report.

With about .001 percent of all guns bought, sold, traded and owned in Maine, undergoing a trace by BATFE, of which we don’t know how many were actually used in a crime, if any at all, for Everytown to pretend that 1,700 ads for private gun sales in Maine is dangerous, is a laugh. What is dangerous is Michael Bloomberg insisting he is going to make it very difficult for innocent people to be able to protect themselves…especially protect themselves from fascist dictators like him. Please understand the real threat here.

But totalitarian groups like Everytown, and fascists like Michael Bloomberg, understand that most people will read what they write, missing key points, leaving readers buying into the emotional clap trap (lies).

I beg you to know the truth.

It’s a Shame Really

I think that it is a shame that an organization like the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine (SAM) is left with no money/resources to do the things a sportsman’s group should do. SAM was much bigger and better than fighting against animal rights and environmental groups, along with fascists like Michael Bloomberg. SAM used to have time and money to look after the needs of sportsmen, working with the fish and game department to make hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling, ATVing, hiking, boating, wildlife management, etc. better and better all the time. No longer.

In the last ten years SAM has been zapped of all it’s resources and energy fighting against totalitarians who are convinced THEIR world would be better off by destroying the world so many Americans love and grew up with. Instead of making our outdoor recreation and sporting opportunities better, all that is left is the likeness of David and Goliath. As Goliath systematically weakens the little boy with the sling shot, until there’s nothing left to fight with, the giant, with much more powerful weapons, will prevail. Isn’t that all part of the plan?

Two anti-hunting bear referendums by hateful groups and now an evil man, who has surrounded himself with evil, brain-dead people, who are clueless as to what they are doing (most of them), want to further destroy your rights and freedom. What happened in this society that causes others to destroy that which is good, in the name of progress (that is what they call it)?

Bloomberg and others know that they have the money and power over little bothersome gnats like SAM. They will get what they want because they understand you better than you understand them.

In the meantime, SAM is hogtied, spending all it’s time fighting the fascist bullies. It is no longer a sportsman’s group but a small voice crying in a wilderness of Zombies.

What’s wrong? I just returned from a bicycle ride to Central Park (no not New York). I met perhaps a couple hundred people. I am not exaggerating when I say that not one of the people I saw was without a goddamn cellphone or some electronic device shoved in their faces – even all the Middle School children on their way to school. Zombies one and all. The world I live in, not theirs, that is the physical things around me, ain’t so bad. It’s interesting, sometimes pretty to look at. There are birds and other animals running about, and trees along with beautiful sunshine. The Zombies have left all that behind and cashed it in for their little mind-controlling toys – an instrument of destruction 100 times greater than the television set.

The fascists control those instruments of the Beast. They will convince the world that hunting, trapping and fishing are evil practices. They will convince the world that there is no need for guns. Central Government will prevail. They will control. Just keep watching your electronic device.

It’s a crying damned shame! We were told this would happen.

But don’t go look!
