The left has its pope

*Editor’s Note* – If Mr. Sowell is correct in that prosperity needs an explanation, then an explanation is needed as to how and why the Vatican holds and/or controls the majority of wealth in the world. While it is easy to pin this “fish-hat” guy to being owned by the left, blaming prosperity, as this pope does and the brainwashed left, on the plight of the poor, to the real enlightened, the blame rest squarely on the Vatican. IT created poverty and IT perpetuates it to their advantage.

The pope disparages the actions of burning fossil fuels as contributing to that fake concept of global warming. And yet, is subsidized in its wealth by owning a significant amount of stocks in petroleum companies. The list is unending.

Perhaps the lying, cheating, thieving fish-hat guy should practice what he preaches (that pun just slipped right out). He is no different than all the rest of the hypocritical evildoers of the world by utilizing capitalism, while demonizing and blaming capitalism, in order to deflect attention away from the real source of poverty.

Both the authors of the bishops’ Pastoral Letter in the 1980s and Pope Francis today blithely throw around the phrase “the poor,” and blame poverty on what other people are doing or not doing to or for “the poor.”Any serious look at the history of human beings over the millennia shows that the species began in poverty. It is not poverty, but prosperity, that needs explaining. Poverty is automatic, but prosperity requires many things – none of which is equally distributed around the world or even within a given society.

Liberal, Feel-Good Policies Have Created Poverty in Maine

A letter writer to a Maine newspaper says that the effort to ban bear baiting, trapping and hounding by referendum is a “liberal, feel-good policies have created poverty in this state.” I have to agree.
